NCAABB - Pick Discussion for THUR

*Disclaimer: I haven't followed NCAABB in six weeks. Just looking for some action.

Tell me what you think:

*Ark +3.5. UConn wasn't really rated that hi in pre-season. Really think Musselman is the new Man of March. Veteran coach, he knows how to get his team to peak.

*TEN -5.5. Feel like Fla Atl is a bridge too far. 33 wins out of a small Conf. Have to concede that they benefitted greatly from FDU taking out the 1-seed.

*Gonz +2. Veteran coach, not his most heralded team. Think they have the right mix to pull a surprise. Dog price when this program is usually favored.

Talked myself into it:

*Ark +3.5 (1.95). Musselman said he knew it would take a while this season, w/ 6 of his 12 players being Freshman.
*TEN -5.5 (1.95). Chickens come home to roost for the Owls.
*Gonz +1.5 (2.05). Loose as a goose. Bulldogs = live dogs. Maybe the "1" plays.

I haven't even looked at the lines, but that card looks solid to me. Not sure how Arky is a dog.

I like the Tennessee bet but not Gonzaga, they haven't done anything against the elite teams other than the win against Alabama.

They just beat the 1-seed, so ARK may look ripe. Think Musselman has the exact right mindset w/ this team. And I don't think they have to take a backseat to this opponent on athleticism.

The Bama game was in Bham technically neutral but basically a home game for Bama.
There was no defense in that game at all!

I dont see how Arkansas beats Uconn. I'd say Uconn is 85% to win that game..... and only giving up 3.5.... I'll take the favorite.

UConn -3.5 is a razor sharp line.

Arky shoots well, what they don't do well is rebound, and if their shooting is off, it's going to be one and done, UConn will run them out of the building.

Ark moved to +4.5 at Heritage.

Ark has had some great recruiting classes under Musselman and arguably has more talent then UConn.

I was going to take Ark but scratching my head over this line move...

Ark was expected to get to the sweet 16 pre season...

Very surprised at Michigan State opening line. Hard to believe a 7th seeded team becomes the favorite vs a 3rd seeded team. Food for thought... out of the teams left Kansas State has the worst neutral site/away team defense. If Kansas State doesn't hit those 2 3 pointers late in the game VS Kentucky... I think Kentucky would of won that game by 1 or 2 points. Kansas State doesn't impress me. This line is fishy...

I think UConn has a very good chance at covering the spread VS Arkansas.

That big guy for UConn is tough in the paint Ark didn't seem to have anyone willing to go toe to toe with him.
I would of liked to have seen him and the big guy from Tenn under the bucket battling. If Tenn won, I know they still would not have played yet but was thinking what a battle that would be.
