There's no way they will be able to get him another superstar to stand by him, so they might as well trade him to get those first round choices they lost in the Harden trade. By the way, Rockets are probably ecstatic right now.

celtics fans won't even trade brown for kd straight up. that's because they are celtics fans, blinded, they tend to think the only team that has ever existed in the nba is them
if the celtics lose brown they are still favored to win the title. if the nets lose kd, all hope is lost.
without kd, the nets can barely reach .500. without brown, not a huge difference in their chances to win a game.
brown is a great player but kd is elite
