Sports betting in The First State….
When you think “ Sports Betting in Delaware “ picture walking into a Vegas Book circa mid seventies……

you have to physically walk into the book to make a bet, as no mobile betting Ap is available at the moment…

nor for the foreseeable future it looks like …

    Last years dance…

entered DelPark @ 11am, bout an hour to tip off first group of 4 Thursday slate.

4 people in upstairs book ….total!
1 guy writing tickets … although there were ample amount of self serve kiosks

This is a nice state to live in
( I’m retired and they ain’t in my pocket for my pension)…
but it takes them forever to do something, snails pace would be accurate.

leavin a lot of money on the table without those FanDuel and DK aps to bet on…

and every surrounding state has them now that Maryland offers it ….

I don’t understand the logic but there it is.

figured it be nice talking about something other than jumping ship and the end of the world…..

I should add in all fairness that certain lottery locations offer parlay cards and teaser cards . Problem is that if some QB sneezes they powers that be take the side down.

you are able to bet off the board parlays at these locations, but only on the NFL and no straight action outside casino

I think all states gave serious thought to limiting apps or not having them. But in a land of 50 different regulatory rules it's just not going to help do what they want when most other states are allowing apps.

i am thankful for the apps. would be very hard to play and would end up back offshore 100%.

you have to go to one of I think 3 casinos
                Delaware Park
                Dover Downs or
                Harrington

the no app has its advantages, no emotional/compulsive/chasing picks because you have balance and think you can win it all

The most recent response to the question of mobile aps was that the cost would be prohibitive???

                    How is that possible???

perhaps is an small market, with all the cyber security it can get quite expensive to maintain and all the legal stuff if there is a breach

Yes, there’s that, but hard for me to believe, in this day and age, that it won’t be done.

                          understood.

and yes it does have advantages. same with a casino with easy access to play when bored.
