I mean overtime is basically a loss if you have the under. What would they take off like 3 or 4 points

      Agreed - very good question.

Soccer is generally a 90 minute result. Why not American Football, baseball, basketball etc... ? At least offer the option of regulation wagers.

OT has killed many under bets as well as underdog sides.

      Just my 2 cents.

This is a great topic. Gets mentioned every now and then.

Totals are impacted substantially. Also, the small dogs get impacted in a bad way.

Been a while since I looked at the stats, but:

        1) Totals WHICH GO TO OVERTIME: 80% go Over.
...Think about it. 40-minute game. 5 extra Minutes = 12.5% more time. If it goes to 2ot, +10Min = 25% more time. If you think the posted total is CLOSE to being accurate, your Under is in trouble. 1/8*120 = +15 pts.

        2) Sides: I don't have a stat on this. But the small dog which loses ATS in overtime...is a crusher.

If they really went hard-core, you could see a Total (excluding OT) and a Total (including OT).

One game comes to mind on this point. A few years back ILL/NEB played. Both played to a slow pace. Total was low (114??) and line was tight (pk??).

Game plays out, they are moving at a snail's pace. Even teams, they tie and go to Overtime at like 49-49. Slow again in OT, goes to another overtime. Finally, in the 2nd OT the game finally goes over.

My only answer on why Bask INCLUDES OT and Soccer Excludes OT:
*European soccer bettors are conditioned to the 90-minute results.
*American bettors are used to the Final score (where OT is more common-place).

Soccer doesn't have overtime though unless it's a major tournament or some cups.

Kambi used to offer second half lines excluding/including OT.
Usually about 1 pt difference, but depends on how close the game is.

Doesn’t really help you if you are better pregame.
