    NFL's new Overtime Playoff Rules
This will be the very first time there's a chance we see it. I doubt that it will happen this weekend but anything's possible.

May the Football Gods be with you!

    Here they are ...

New playoff overtime rules now take effect, starting with this weekend’s wild-card games. Under the rule that NFL owners approved after last season’s playoffs that included Buffalo’s divisional playoff loss at Kansas City when it never got to possess the ball in overtime, both teams now are assured of getting the football during any game that goes to overtime. If both teams score touchdowns on their first possession, the game becomes sudden death. The game also could end if the second team to score a touchdown decides to go for a two-point conversion and the win.

Does this apply if the first team uses all ten minutes of the OT and scores on the last play?

Don't like it. Play 30 minutes and if it's still tied then go to fg kicks.

At least that's not as stupid as baseball's ghost runner on 2nd base for extra innings.

I think it's fine during the regular season to prevent games from going to deep. Obv would be a joke for the playoffs.
