The Bullseye Week 17 SBR Contest Picks

Here is what I got out of this as I had also a pick on the Miami-Patriots game that was deleted like USCPHILLY. Not a software guy so I don't know what causes it.

The software for the line feed is not dependable. Some games get line updates as they should normally and some games do not due to glitches.

If your Tuesday pick was on a line that kept updating until Thursday it was not deleted.

If your Tuesday pick was on a line that later in the week was not updating irregardless of whether your picked a good line on Tuesday or a bad line or Thursday as there is no way for the archaic software to just remove the bad line picks.

It happened twice so far when I made a play on Tuesday morning as soon as the lines were posted.

First it was on the Arizona/Patriots game and 2nd it was on the Miami/Patriots game (I can see a pattern here..lol).

USC is right to be upset as the shortcomings of the software are not his fault but the people who offer the contest and he is at a disadvantage as he is forced to pick on a line on Thursday that is not comfortable with.

SBR is making the situation harder by not admitting their software sucks and apologizing for the bad product they are offering to their customers.

yes the software has not worked properly all contest. Games get duped, updates stop etc. LT and techs are working with what they are given and addressing stuff as fast as possible.

But that is completely aside from Phillys bitch this week that one of the Bullseye picks was stale, which was wrong. And honestly, if the guy wants to bitch in the official thread every week about known stuff... he should at least find a genuine point instead of making up extra stuff.

So are you saying that the line feed selectively picks the games to not update? This is strange.

So all of us who picked the Miami-Patriots game on Tuesday at the correct lines had our game deleted on Thursday because tthe line wasn't updating? Couldn't you track which guys picked live lines and which guys picked stale lines and just delete the plays of the stale lines?

LT this is a big issue if true. You can't keep penalizing us for doing the right thing but your equipment that runs the contest is faulty!

You need to visit the contest page, i post comments there as as problems happen. Yes, there were 3 games this week including the Pats where lines did not update and were replaced by new game IDs that did update. In those cases, we disable the first IDs or else someone can make same plays twice.

His line has never stopped updating so no need tp do anything. Your game stopped updating and was replaced by a new working ID, forcing us to disable the old ID. It really is not that hard to understand.

Just keep re-reading post #20. I totally get why those that legit beat the line move are upset, but everyone need to understand the reasoning why disabling had to be done,

This happened to me another week also but I said nothing. So now I could pick for Monday
but am unsure if I should. Look at the consensus page, there is no way out of all the picks

Chargers were listed at wrong time of 8:20 when game was disabled (you apparently had a play there, only Chargers lol), They never could fix time so game was excluded from contest. Bears/Lions consensus is for disabled dupe listing mentioned somewhere in contest comments,

among all the problems with the contest , this isn't one of them .

to philly ---- were you agreeing to what I thought I was showing? At first I thought so, but as the thread continued and you didn't let the SF -5 thing go, I began to wonder.

Maybe I didn't make it clear enough that I was trying to show that it was perfectly fine that bullseye guy made a play on Tues that didn't become known to us until Thurs. On Thurs they post the picks from 5 different bullseye guys with their write ups included. Surely it is reasonable that any of them might make a pick as early as Tues, well before the writeups are due. I pointed out that 11 players took SF at -5 , a good line on Tues. Notice also that 6 guys took LV at +5.
