Great athletes figure out ways to stay great as they age and don't have the physical abilities they once did. Russ always seemed like a bright/crafty guy but I guess he just doesn't have it. That and/or some plain old laziness after getting the hot wife and big contract. In any case, SEA sure got the better end of that deal. Fwiw, watching his last few years in SEA there was definitely a decline so this isn't completely surprising.
