Very curious to know what his personal medical condition was.

            From a 2018 Interview....

Reporter: When people write the Mike Leach obituary... how do you want to be remembered?

Mike Leach: Well that's their problem... they're the one writing the obituary. I mean what do I care? I'm dead.

He could have been talking about this guy.

Great coach, funny guy, great dry sense of humor.

              You'll be missed.

Best video bay far was his comparison to Fast Times at Ridgemont High:

There's some people that die... and you're like... well it's life. But for some reason this Mike Leach story is bothersome. I just can't believe it... I don't really know why.

I think it is because he had the larger than life personality.

very sad. during the holidays even worse.
Yep, I said that a few posts ago. Best I could come up with is the Marshall coach dying in the plane crash 1970. Wichita state football team also had a plane crash earlier that season where the coach died as well. Crazy those happened in the same season

He was a coach but seemed like a normal guy. Most of these guys seem like self absorbed assholes

That's such a Mike Leach answer.... keeping us laughing from the grave. He was just so damn dry and funny in interviews. It makes me wonder what he was like as a friend/father/husband, etc.. I bet he was great and was only the way he was with the media to avoid all the BS.

The longwinded, rambling, off-topic answers he routinely gave to questions were absolutely hilarious. All reports from people that really knew him are that he was caring and overall amazing. So sad. This one hits me kind of like Norm Macdonald. I did a bit of a Google dive today and re-watched some of Leach's clips and got a stomach ache laughing. Other than his on-TV presence I don't know him at all but I'd bet he's laughing and smiling at the big joke the world is these days. He definitely made me smile more than most. I'm definitely feeling bad and thinking of his family.

                              Mike Leach...R.I.P.

                              A renaissance man.

                              Sincerely sadness.
