England, Spain, France, Brazil and Argentina (along with Germany and Italy, both of whom are out) are the only teams to win since 1950. Croatia's run last year was a huge outlier; it won't happen again.

Exactly and the only other team left that has pedigree is the Dutch ( I don't like this one though)

What has surprised me is there is not a huge gap anymore many Countries

Costa Rica one of worst soccer programs we have seen in a long time but not many bad Countries now most can compete with the big boys

Since 1962, only eight teams have even made the final with the one exception being Croatia last time around. Everyone else is just dreaming.

Australia has a quality goalie. Why not look for another upset in this tourney?

Man-mark Messi with Jackson Irvine? Might as well try to lock up Messi and make ARG get offense elsewhere.

I did not expect us to even draw a match Chucky. So I can believe anything is possible after pulling off two wins in group. Only the best teams usually manage that.

No idea what tactics will work but I hope it's more of the same confident attacking mindset. Thye have gotten better with each game. And seem to believe they can beat anyone. Just hoping we fire on the night!
