Pac is whack conference. Remember when ranked Oregon played Georgia earlier this year and got destroyed by 50 points? Nobody wants to see another Pac vs Sec game blowout like that in the playoffs. How many times has a Pac team won the championship in the last 10 15 years? How many times since the CFP started has a Pac team won a playoff game versus the number of wins from big boy conferences Sec Acc Big10? You're talking about these regular bowl games like they matter. A lot of guys don't even play in them especially if they're gonna be a high draft pick. Aka nobody gives a fuckk. Don't compare no name bowls to the CFP games. Completely different entities. I'll stand by my statement that Pac sucks. no question that Georgia and Michigan look like the top two teams and if they play U$C and TCU and smear them it does not mean the pac 12 and big 12 suck, necessarily, only that Georgia and Michigan are great teams.
honestly speaking, while the Pac 12 is on par with the Big 12 and definitely better than the ACC in at least the top 5 teams, they are much closer than you think to the Big 10 sans Michigan and the SEC Sans Georgia and Tennessee (when healthy).
on a neutral field USC and TCU can hang with and beat:
- ohio state and penn state and anyone else from the Big 10 except Michigan who is just too physical.
- alabama and LSU and anyone from the SEC except a healthy Georgia and healthy Tennessee
there is much more finesse now in the B1G and the SEC nowadays and especially this year, then you think.
