They've given up 69 points in nine games to the lesser teams, 81 against the two real teams. They're very good but it's more a case of playing poor offenses than having an epic defense.

I haven't watched much of their games but the numbers don't lie. The lesser teams can't touch them but against the elite, they don't do so well.

to reiterate how not that good the corn boys really are, ibrahim has been kind a very good runner in his career has rushed for over 4,000 yards has had 24 games where he has rushed for over 100 yards, but today's 263 yards are the most he's ever rushed for in a game. imagine that, a "great" all time top 10 defense gives you your career high only in clown world

Ya, but we know that up front. Iowa 2022 not an all-time defense.

MINN gouged them on the ground. Some combination of luck and untimely play led to the Iowa win.

I think this guy is just posting ridiculous stuff as a joke. Trying to get responses for an idiotic thread. Iowa has a decent defense with maybe 1 pro prospect at LB. Their DBs are slow and pass rush not good at all.
They get credit for playing good defense in the worst division the B1G has had since it split to division play.
But lets give Kirk Ferentz COY again. That really gets people laughing.
Almost as funny as the screw job the idiot B1G referees gave illinois yesterday in the Michigan game. That was pretty disgraceful. Even my Michigan buddy couldnt believe the missed offensive PI, the phantom hold on Illinois and then the PI at the end.

One of the best defenses in L30 years was Miami FL 2002. Led by Ed Reed, top playmaking safety.

DEF PPG was low. More importantly, they created a ton of turnovers. So their defense was setting up points, too.
