I was reading in other forums that there are some rumors saying that some gambling forums are owned by sportsbook.
I mean if you go to gambling911, it seems like it was created for bodog, supposedly therx has something to do with Rio. This are only rumors I have heard so they might be BullSh.t but maybe Bill or somebody else here can give us some insider info.

I haven't heard anything about this...I thought I heard therx.com was started by a well-known gambler who now runs eog.com...I also know that the same company owns covers and wagerline...

pags, the shrink sold the Rx to marty aka Rio. as far as the bodog owning 911 goes. well, there has been no conformation of this that i can recall off the top of my head but, people have speculated that for quite sometime now.

It wouldn't suprise me. But I imagine most books simply prefer to exert thier influence through advertising dollars

I do not believe Bodog owns G911. I think its common knowledge that majorwager has something to do with majorbetting. BetOnSports has a special relationship with the OSGA.com by family/blood.

Well, I always knew that OSGA is owned by BOS, the OSGA office is inside BOS offices...
Majorwager with majorbetting I don't know, I believe that majorbetting tried to get some credentials and traffic from the domain.
                Nothing yet on therx.com?

While throwing out rumors, the same speculation was done about BetonGames.com and SBR in the past (and I think it was denied). I really don't think most site owners want to discuss all their connections with books, but it certainly could be a conflict of interest with any forum owning a book too.

MajorBetting and MajorWager is the least conflict in my mind as the name make a clear connection (if is out in the open tough to be underhanded). Discussing actual ownership is always dangerous as the legality of owning books in the US is obviously a problem and can even be for Canadian citizens although not as much.

Shrink's great friends with the owner of RIO. Shrink sold the RX to Marty. Marty was somehow tied to RIO but I'm not sure in what capacity.
