Just wondering how long more do we get to see this amazing player. I have a feeling he is starting to lose the touch.

When does his contract run out?

That's when he will stop performing as he obviously won't be playing for another one...

He's not what he once was obvously, but IMO he's still the 2nd best closer in baseball.

I'd take Papelbon, K-Rod, Nathan and Soria over Rivera

        maybe even Heath Bell

I'd take Nathan over him, possibly K-Rod. Papelbon needs to get his WHIP down this year AND he's a dousche for bitching about money at his age. Soria aint done shiat yet and Heath Bell gets PETCO inflated numbers.

He is still good but of course he has lost a little. I think he is still one of best in game though.

Yeah, but I love Soria's potential and Heath has a monster year, petco or not...

Ripped from the headlines at ESPN...

Si, el no es tan bueno como el fue una vez. Pero usted debe recordar que Mo tendrá 40 años este noviembre. Todos los gran jugadores deben dejar beisbol finalmente.

                    3 Years later -- still $$$

                    4/19/2012

Mariano Rivera worked a perfect ninth for his third save of the season and record 606th of his career.

I thought he was "nearing the end" like eight years ago.

                      The dude is bionic.

As long as he can locate that cutter...velocity is not a real concern. I think he could pitch until he wants to leave the game.

No lie, someone told me it was reported in NY that he might retire mid-season...any NY'ers got any input into that? One of the best and this is coming from a life-long Braves fan.
