Michael Turner was charged with DUI and speeding early Tuesday morning.

The Falcons wrapped up a 27-21 win over the Broncos shortly after midnight. Around 5 a.m., Turner was booked and was subsequently released on $2,179 bond two hours later. The rapidly declining early-down plodder is not in danger of a league-imposed suspension, but the arrest sends more bad vibes down his career path. Through two games, Turner has predictably appeared lost in the Falcons' new up-tempo offense while averaging 2.6 yards per carry.

i remember seeing signs that if you are 40kmph over the speed limit they can take your car and fine you $10,000 or something crazy like that

this would've qualified

In Ontario you can be fined $2000-$10000 if caught driving 50km over the speed limit.

Many times, they are out creepin', and don't want cabbies all in their biz. Same with livery service. I have seen it more than a few times.

If this happened to an AFL (Aussie rules) player, their respective club would impose some sort of club suspension. AFL players dont drink during the regular season. Alcohol is a natural diuretic and increases the loss of water on the body. Dehydration is something athletes can not risk whether during training or game day. Really says something about NFL athletes vs aussie rules athletes.
