Wouldn’t take that bet. I’d throw a little bit on nats + money but that’s it.

Agreed. Braves are the fourth scariest team in baseball right now and they have a great record without getting to feed on the bottom of the AL

I dont think they will choke away this lead with Freeman as there captain, he inspires them to play at a high level.

The better discussion is whether any team can beat the dodgers for pennant -110
i don’t think so

I’ve been contemplating a huge all in type of play on Dodgers and taking that expected winnings into football.
I can’t see a scenario where Atlanta , Chicago or any team beats them in a 7 game series absent injury. I know momentum can change for any challenger but it appears to be a solid opportunity

The Braves are an absolute lock to win the division. Nobody in the NL East has the pitching to shut them down for a series sweep, in any of their remaining series matchups vs their NL East rivals (WASH, PHI, or NYM.) The Braves offense cannot be contained in that manner.
The more difficult question is can the Braves shock the world and make it to the World Series again. It might seem far fetched to many, but just consider that they just won a 3 game series against the Dodgers and one of those games saw them beating the best pitcher in all of baseball (ERA wise) in Ryu.
Many will say, "but they didn't face Kershaw," which isn't all that valid considering that Kershaw is hardly 50-50 in the playoffs. In my opinion, it will all come down to Atlanta's bullpen in the playoffs. The potential for October magic is there. Acuna, Albie's, and Freeman are GREAT bats and even in the clutch. As far as starting pitching goes, Soroka and Fried are having damn good seasons.
NL East division title is foregone conclusion. I'm hoping we can get a 90's era refresher course, in terms of an Atlanta Braves/New York Yankees world series matchup. That would be epic! Go Bravos!!!

Nats 12-7 their last 19 with blown saves in 6 of the 7 losses.
Braves would have to have a complete collapse to not hold on because the Nats bullpen is the worst in the league.

They play nats 7x in next 2 weeks. No clue what makes you think they will sweep them? Gl w that, Nats starters too good to be getting swept.

Braves firing on all cylinders. The Nats are facing them at the wrong time. Freeman is MVP.

He up there but it going to bellinger or yelich most likely. Their ops a good 100 points higher than his which is also outstanding. He prob 3rd in voting be my guess.
Far as Braves they are playing well but so are the nats, how else would they be sticking around when they got off to pretty poor start? Should be excellent series.

I was waiting for you to bump so I could eat crow. Not bout thread subject, who cares bout -500 pick?
This series tho you were right, Braves burying them. Fukkin corbin walked 100 guys last night and took 107 pitches to get thru 5 innings! Lol. Walks and errors combined w 4 innings of nats pen lead to disaster. I thought nats would put up a better effort this series. (I bet the fukks last night).
