money is money no matter what kind of form it comes in my friend.

heres food for thought though: baseball finally took a stand towards eliminating overpriced contracts for middle of the road players. unless your name was Harper or Machado, the teams were not giving in to player's demands. Keuchel, Kimbrel, CarGo, Moustakas, etc

the same thing COULD happen in the NBA. but the stars will always get the big bucks. and it will continue to rise year after year.

The TV deals is what is driving these huge salaries. That is why there are so many commercials. The games are almost unwatchable at this point. I personally don't watch the regular season or even the first round of the playoffs.

Try taking your family to Disneyland or Disneyworld these days. Better bring a small fortune in cash for the day..

A one-day, one-park adult ticket for Disneyland or California Adventure remains $97 for low-demand days, such as weekdays in May. A ticket for regular-demand days is $117, up from $110. The price of a ticket on peak-demand days is $135, up from $124.

Pricing doesn't include parking, food/drink, gifts, etc.. https://disneyland.disney.go.com/tickets/

All about the TV deals , College Football and all Pro Sports living off those astronomical contracts .
Problem is when ratings dwindle, revenue and sponsorship does too next time contracts are up for negotiation.
It'll catch up at some point, may be 5-10 years but viewership seems to be on the decline in all pro sports .

by then, I gotta think there less than 33% of American still tethered to the cord

people are watching in many different formats. when espn bought 35 of 37 bowl games they were buying exclusivity. now they have the cable companies by the balls. if they don't pay espn is moving in the way of stand alone options buying mma and having daily baseball on espn+. the disney/abc/espn conglomerate is attempting to monopolize quite a bit in the entertainment and sports industry. competition will continue to drive the price up.

and the park is still constantly crowded. Imagine if pricing was inexpensive? Park would reach capacity everyday.
