Yeah that cost Denver the game. Really it's a shitty use of replay. It's like calling a baserunner out for coming off the base for a split second. Defeats the spirit of the rule.

I always think this same thing whenever they slow a call down and review it like this.

If they reviewed them all, nearly all would be overturned based on that ruling.

It's the physics of it, really splitting hairs. In my opinion, because there is no gap in time between each guy touching, it should be ruled out on Portland, Denver gets the ball, because the defender caused the ball to go out of bounds.

It can be slippery slope, I suppose, and the last guy to touch it rule really is most clear cut. Even if it is inconsistent.
