Fognini bagel against Nadal...ON CLAY COURT!!!!
I think I have seen it all now in tennis. Nadal losing on clay court is of course rare, but what Fognini just did may have been the first time it's ever happened.

Fognini won set 2 6-0 over Nadal.

The first match saw Medvedev up 5-1 in set 1 and then lose 12/13 games and lose 7-5 6-1 and now Nadal gets a bagel against him.

    What a day of tennis!!!

100% still favored to win French open

unreal. I posted this with Fognini up 40-0 on serve and proceeds to lose 5 straight and Nadal's on the board in set 2

yup, I posted a little premature

with that being said, still major upset Nadal losing and being broken as often as he is.

Even in the quarter finals yesterday, he was broken 4x which is very rare on clay

Nadal pre game was -3300 to not lose 2-0 and fognini was +1350 to win 2-0

If this was the French open then rafa would be wiped the court with him. I've been saying for years that the best tennis players in the world care mostly about the slams.

this was an ATP 1000 level tourney which is highest below the slams and Nadal is 11x champ, so Nadal definitely cared about this match

he cared... but far more likely to lose as a -1400 in a non-major than in a major

                        They always care

                        Nadal got smoked

Fogini 3rd win on clay vs Raffy

Wind bother Nadal, impossible to win every tourney

There are not many 1000 ATP events

He definitely cared about this match and would have been in trouble At Roland Garros

I would think Nadal cared more than usual simply because it's against Fognini

Joker lost too. I think that's bigger news. #1 and a great clay courter. Probably second best clay court player in world next to rafa
