Nadal Slams Kyrgios After Last Nights Tense Match

Rafael Nadal has accused Nick Kyrgios of a lack of respect after suffering defeat at the hands of the Australian at the Acapulco International.



Kyrgios saved three match points against the top seeded Spaniard in the second round of the tournament in Mexico to record a 3-6, 7-6(2), 7-6(6) win which also saw him serve under-arm against his rival.



"He is a player who has enormous talent," Nadal told ESPN after the loss. "He could win Grand Slams and fight the top positions of the ranking, but there is a reason why he is where he is.



"He lacks respect for the public, the rival and towards himself."



Kyrgios has slumped to world No 72 having climbed to a career high of 13 in October 2016. The 23-year-old fell to the floor in celebration after his win over Nadal, before sticking a finger behind his ear and asking the raucous crowd to cheer louder.

I hate the man. He could be such a public fave from Aussie, but Millman has that. Maybe I also hate him more because I had one of my largest plays on Nadal -3.5 and he saved 9 out of 9 breaks in Set 2 and 3, twice being down 0-40.

I made a thread, and yes, Im still bitter. I will be doubling down on Stan the Man after Zverev takes me to a cashed ticket -3.5 games. Zverev serve is one, he might take this tournament down. When his serve is there - we all know he can play with the best.

Also, I do agree on the line being right as Kyrgios chokes after a big win. Millman was a huge save from him as he finally took a W to the Aussie counterpart, then gets absolutely murdered next match vs Copil if i remember correctly.

Cameron Norrie was the better play, but the +100 was too juicy for me at 23.

mickey d is a weirdo or something that guy will pull some freaky stuff. i bet him last week won 1st set easily and got doubled bageled the last two, at us open or aussie open cant remember wins 1st 2 sets easy then just casually jogs around not caring to lose last 3 sets
