Joe Mauer-It seems Mauer's swing is the most fluid and looks effortless, so fatigue shouldn't be a factor with him if he can advance past the 1st Round.

Albert Pujols-The obvious selection, but not enough value @ +150 with the talent in this field. Can see him pressing as the competition progresses and wanting to get it done in front of the home crowd.

Carlos Pena-I like Pena's value and his swing, if only he could get his pitcher to throw him hanging breaking balls I'd like his chances even more.

Ryan Howard-Would be hard to bet against a pure power hitter like Howard, having been in this competition a few times in the past and winning it once before, I see him as the man to beat.

Prince Fielder-If this was a contest of who swings the hardest I'd take Fielder, I see him hitting a couple of monster shots but then becoming disinterested as the contest goes on.

Adrian Gonzalez-Wouldn't be surprised if he got no-hit by his pitcher.

Brandon Inge-Fatigue could be a factor if he advances past the 1st Round, @ 5'11 188lbs he is clearly the smallest player in the field.

Nelson Cruz-Player I have seen the least this year and know very little about.

The players will enjoy themselves even more because they brought along hand-picked batting-practice pitchers. Everyone except Pujols, whose personal pitcher, Dave McKay, decided to take a vacation instead.

"I didn't bring anybody," he said to more laughter. "My guy decided to take four days off. ... But I told him that I would love for him to be here tonight. He can't make it. He went to Arizona. So I actually borrowed somebody from Pittsburgh, the bullpen coach, who is going to throw for me. I'm going to try to get used to him, and hopefully he can throw the ball down the middle and I can put good swings on it."
