Only sports I don't see going down this path is MLB and NHL

NHL players move too fast and MLB has too much tradiiton to let something like that slide

With the advancement on HDTV's and game broadcasting. The at-home experience is becoming better then being at the game. This would probably help the teams make up the money from lost ticket sales.

NFL is already in the process of providing Wifi at the stadiums and having in-game player audio to help and try to fill the seats.

They have to do something, because people would rather stay home and watch the game on their big screen HDTV's.
