    I didn't see a white flag waved by the flagman for one lap to go. That's why they have these things in case the racers lose track of which lap they are on!

    The white 'one lap to go' flag is only used in USA. There is no one lap to go flag in euro style racing.

    The white flag is used in euro racing, but means 'be careful, slow car/bike on track'.
