    Sportsbook.com strikes again
-900$ in little charges taken out today- all duplicates of the same set of scamful charges which crippled my bank account last week (i dont remember even making most of these withdrawals that were duplicated).

I contacted live help, and the guy had the same name as me:

Kevin---: How may I help you today?
Kevin: My bank account was just QUADRUPLE charged. I am very angry.
Kevin: Every charge for the month just went through again.
    Kevin: An entire $1000 dollars.
Kevin: I did not make any deposits.
Kevin: I demand that this money be put back.
Kevin---: In order for us to investigate your overbilling issue you must
first fax us a hard copy of the statement for your credit card showing
the excess charges. This information will be forwarded to the
Accounting Department who will take care of your situation. Please
note that a hard copy statement means a copy of a physical statement
you have received in the mail, as opposed to an online printout.
    Kevin---:
    Kevin---:
Kevin---: Our fax number is 1800 201 4919 (++1-208-567-3627 if you are
outside North America), or if it is more convenient, you may scan your
statement and attach it to an email in reply to this message. Please
ensure that your customer ID number is prominent on the fax or subject
line of the email. Your customer ID number is located underneath your
name on the grey betting ticket afer you login. Remember to also
include a brief description of your problem. Please check the quality
of your scan or fax to ensure that all information is fully legible.
    Kevin---:
Kevin---: We do sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and we
    thank you for your cooperation.
Kevin: who do i email this to?
Kevin: I will be contacting the Casinomeister about this.
Kevin: I fully expect my money to be returned
Kevin---: cashier@sportsbook.com If you have been overbilled you will get
every cent back, there was a technical error. I do apologize

Now I'm scared because I requested my account be closed before they struck. What if they close my account before I get the funds back?

I contacted the cashier, nothing back yet (it's been about a half hour). I contacted my bank and the casinomeister as well. This is ridiculous, and the original reason why I left.

I don't think you should worry about it. Online sportsbooks are an enormously competitive industry.

No sportsbook can afford bad publicity no matter how big it is. What I suggest you do is identify the licensing authority where sportsbook.com is located and file a complaint.

It may also be due to a genuine error. We're all human and mistakes do happen.

I know a few guys that work at their credit card processing department. Probably a mistake... Just get in touch with the accounting manager or some manager there and explain the situation they'll get it fixed for sure, probably it was a human mistake.

Funny how these "human mistakes" never happen at the A books.

Sorry Jay...I didn't realize you worked for sportsbook.com or are just a sportsbook.com apologist.

There seems to be vey few positive things written about sportsbook.com. Just a horrendous book in general. Still wondering why people play with them when there are so many higher quality books out there.

I can assure you that I have nothing to do with sportsbook.com or any sportingbet site. I'm just really familiar with the gambling industry in Costa Rica and I'm just telling you that even if they are not the best sportsbook in the world I'm 100% that it was a human mistake.
It wouldn't make sense for them to do something like that for $1000...
Just trying to make wehitandrun understand that he will probably get his money back.

Did you also notice how mistakes are always in favor of the sportsbooks and never the clients ?

When was it last time a sportsbook screwed up and deposited a million dollars in an account by error ?

                    I'd say never.

But when a sportsbook deposits a million dollars in error, you're slightly less likely to get someone moaning about it on an internet forum.

You will definitely get you money back. But these things do take time. My advice is ask them if they can put the funds into you sportsbook.com account, and then request a withdrawl. If you ask to reverse the charges, it could take longer. They over billed me 2k on 8/11 and were supposed to have sent the crdedit to my credit card on 8/12. I'm still waiting for my money. (I think they over billed me again)

I am beginning to think that sportsstinkbook.com does this purposefully to get the free advertising!
