#6Sure that's part of it, but those school don't need just a name, they usually want ballers. MJ's kids played ball, but I don't remember them getting offers from the likes of Kentucky and Duke. The kid looks like he can really play.
I wonder if Lebron will get to play with his kid in the NBA. Lebron would be like 39/40 at least. Seems like a stretch, but who knows. Maybe he plays with him for his last season.Comment -

#7Yeah that's a big stretch. His playing style is too physical. But it is Lebron, so it's not out of the question for that genetic freak.Comment -

#10My nephew schools his kid on the regular. They are the same age and have competed against each other alot. Lebron among many know of him and scouts are all over him. Kid will be playing HS varsity ball next year most likely. He's a beast.
Imagine the publicity a school would get recruiting James Jr. Thats a program changer even for a Duke and Kentucky.Comment -

#20How many kids Dad are Lebron James and using his professional paid trainers. We can see and Steph/Dell Curry 2.0 in the making here. It's not like it hasn't happen before. The Barry brothers, Tim Hardaway Jr, Austin Rivers, Klay Thompson, Luke Walton. Michael Jordan was a great basketball players but a terrible father. He cheated on his wife and was addicted to gambling. I doubt MJ spent a lot of time grooming his boys to be great basketball players.Comment -

#24Pedigree is a big part of it. We can't deny it anymore. 1) Do they have the money and knowledgeable parents to get to ball 5 days a week? The right private sessions? 2) the connections? 3) Do they have the genes?
Its not as much hard work as we like to tell our kids when we say they can be anything if they work at it. They have to do it but the hands are dealt.
Look at this kid. You can tell who his dad is just by watchin his drive and already has that messed up jumper! ha

#25So sad to see garbage like this. Colleges should have to leave kids alone until there in high school. Too much pressure on these kids. You should see what LSU did to this junior high kid.....ruined his life.Comment -

#27PNothing new and not just a due to his father
remember OJ mayo was getting recruited at the same age? I think he was looking lighting up mofos in HS varsity when he was in 6th or 7th grade
committed to USC in 8th grade
I remember being a middle schooler in the 80's and sports illustrated would rank the top grade schoolers in basketball.
