-Huge void in the domestic and foreign asian market when Yao Ming retired. Lin appeals to millions of both Asians and whites who would otherwise not watch

-NY Knicks one of if not the biggest market

-A lot of Lin's points are made by reverse and acrobatic layups. Easiest thing in the world to fake defense on a layup. I used to do it all the time at the rec center for payment in chilidogs. NBA big wigs and players probably framed this during the CBA meetings to keep the league alive and kicking awhile longer. "Make this guy look good until after the all star break," they probably said.

    Well played NBA, well played
Stern is the biggest crook of all the sports commissioners. The NBA was on strike and nobody wanted to watch it. Now everyone is watching it. Baseball was the same way when they had the strike. Even the purist said they would never watch again and then all of the sudden guys were hitting 70 home runs a year. Stern saw the whole Teebo fiasco and knew a good thing when he saw it. All these leagues and token players as well as coaches do what is good for the league which is to make money. Go see what the dolpin players said about the way there coach set up the defense when Teebo beat them. People are easyt pigeons to get plucked. Sports is the biggest money maker out of all the companies. A trillion dollar industy. Somehow with corruption in every field in American most are brainwashed into thinking that sports are legit. Corrupt cops, Lawyers, doctors, politicains but when it is sports every coach, commisioner, and athlete is on the up and up.

If anything, the hegemonic league leaders love the story because it instills the fear that they DO have the power to rig the league without actually having to take the action to do so. Keeps you in check

why they all benefit from it. Everyone is watching the NBA now. After the strike people were turned off.

Don't put this kid in my class.
I'm impressed, but I want to see him do this like 8 years from now, not just 8 games.

Nash and Stockton did it for a decade.

I'm not hating, I don't have anything against the guy. Just don't put anything past Stern and the owners for survival.

wow another jeremy linn thread. damn they are really hyping this guy up. can't even turn on espn without some story about him. I mean don't get me wrong I like watching him play and the Knicks are free money every time they suit up now but c'mon it's like when you hear a song on the radio that you like and then you keep hearing it until you are tired of hearing it.

it's not his fault the media is stupid in trying to overhype him. if anything it's made it worst for him, making teams extra motivated to humiliate him.

lin's just an average rookie point guard. nothing more, nothing less.

Watch. Eventually it will be common knowledge the NBA is scripted. Just like people thought WWF wrestling was real. It's a show. A show which creates huge revenue. Of course they are milking this Lin hype for all it's worth and then some. That is how it works. If you pay close attention you can start to see what direction the script is manifesting and bet accordingly. I think most people who wager on NBA games on a regular basis are intelligent enough to know the games are rigged. Understanding this isn't enough though to be a winning gambler but it does help. Jeremy Lin is here to stay i'm sure and I don't doubt he is a talented basketball player however I cannot help but notice he's getting a little help.

Can you please explain how the massive conspiracy you allege actually works and how they control ball after Lin shoots to make it go in the hoop? Lets get this straight, you are alleging the the nba, players and refs are all in on it right? In this day and age of tmz, internet and baby mamas, how does the league keep the conspiracy quiet and stop a pissed off baby mama from "spilling the beans?" Lets face it, your alleged conspiracy is nothing but tin foil hat, x-files bullshit. There is no way in the world such a wide-spread conspiracy involving thousands of people could be kept quiet. Please explain in a rational manner how this conspiracy works or just stop with the crazy posts. This isnt a buffalo wild wings commercial and you are being ridiculous.

He's good, but I don't think it's enough for the Knicks to compete with Miami or Chicago.

Dude wtf are you talking about? Why would they need to control the ball when Lin shoots? Your just been silly with naive comments like so. Oh and as far as "spilling the beans" as you put it? The beans have been spilled before and more than once. Twice, three and so forth. If you wanna keep you head buried in the sand so be it but don't expect people with common sense to be so naive. NBA is rigged and it's been proven many times. OPEN YOUR EYES!

Very good offensively before the injuries. He's washed up now. Injuries have ruined him.

By the way, he's not Asian he's Asian-American. He has a fan base in Taiwan but it's not like he lived there. If the NBA wanted to force feed an Asian kid on NBA viewers they'd have the Chinese kid Ding over here.
