how the hell is the Baylor line dropping and how can you not take them?
Tyshawn Taylor plays like dog shit the road in big environments. he single handed won them the game at Lawrence. won't happen again.
I expect a DD win here from the Bears.

Yeah, I will take my chances on Baylor laying the small # at home. Kansas took them to the woodshed earlier this year, Baylor gets payback.

T. Rob is THEE best player in the country, and possibly the only reason Kansas is ranked.
Baylor should cover.
Kansas is a public team... The line is sharp as hell.

Interesting game. KU has to be in it mentally early after the Mizzou meltdown. Baylor is definitely not unbeatable and I'm not sure why anyone would be complaining about the line or saying it's a mistake. Baylor has been taken to the wire at home by worse teams like Texas and even though they were road tilts, Okie State and A&M recently. KU proved it could play in a big road environment against Mizzou, just finished poorly in the last minute. Waco isn't nearly as intimidated as Columbia in a huge Rivalry game. Been there for many a game myself. They've got more feisty as the team has won more, but still not as intimidating as many road environments.
I think if KU has emotion early, the game is close the whole way - they come out flat though, they could get buried and have trouble digging out.

That's a great post.
On the mizzou point, I would say that the game is most likely going to be close because of the nature of such a rivalry game, and the emotion of this being the last time KU faces Mizzou as a conference rival.
I think Baylor is the more talented team, but Kansas is the better coached team. If it's close, the edge always goes to the better coach.
Like you said, you should be able to tell the nature of this game within the first 5 minutes of the game. Either Kansas is in it or not, because we know for a fact Baylor will be up for this.

bottom line there are still many fair weather fans across the nation who have no idea how good Baylor actually is. and are just going by the KU name. this line is based strictly on school reputation. line should be 5 or 6.

More people are on Baylor in this one. Line is going the other way, don't be surprised if Kansas takes this one.
Majority was on Baylor in the first meeting on +6 and the line went up to 7, Kansas won by 20.
I don't see Kansas winning by 20 again but, I do see Kansas winning by 5+.

baylor is dead in the water tonight.. line says it all
opened -1...went up to -2.. now down to -1.5 AT HOME.. meanwhile they are virtually ranked the same.. this game is for the top of big 12.. and line says kansas would be favored by 1 to 1.5 on neutral court and 4.5 + at home?? LOL come on people.. the revenge factor.. the home field.. etc are all already factored into the line and all they got out of it was -1.5?
someone been smoking on something good.. pass it
beyond all this.. when baylor loses at home.. it will setup baylor to beat misso on the road on saturday
whole game comes down to how its officiated.....if there is a bunch of touch fouls..kansas wins...if not..the robinson wont get to the line enough and will fall short

respectfully disagree stash.
like I said bottom line this line is based on school name reputation. us certain gamblers know Baylor is the real deal. fair weather fans see Baylor and think WOW Kansas only giving 1 point to Baylor, after they beat them by almost 20????? I need to pound this!

People just see "records" and they are at home, how can you not pick baylor??
There's probably better plays out there tonight.
so...if Appalachian St was 27-0 at home against say a 15-11 Big East team and App St was giving 4 points to the Big East team....you dont think everyone would be all over the 15-11 Big East team?
I know its totally irrelevant but based on just pure discussion and would like to see your answer.

I've made my point about Baylor before and will say it many more times I am sure before they inevitably blow a game in the tournament they should win ... Scott Drew is a terrible Xs and Os coach. He is indeed the Mack Brown of basketball. Superior recruiter, but terrible game coach. Baylor's defense is the best part of this team IMO. If you had a coach in here who installed some sort of offensive system for Baylor, this team would be nearly unstoppable. Instead, they've got a very lazy system of picks and standing around waiting for someone to individually do something more often than not. Any good coach with time to prepare for Baylor should be able to devise some sort of game plan to have their team in position to win.
The BU offense looks more NBA-like than anything and while individual talent can win you many a game against many inferior opponents, as someone mentioned above - KU is by far the better "coached" team. Doesn't mean they will win tonight, but Self's system works with the players he recruits. Drew recruits the players and doesn't really install them into anything. Amazes me that coaches won't admit their weaknesses and at least have an assistant on the club who could be the offensive "genius" ... but that's why so many of these guys let their egos run them out of jobs.
