Man. Easy win for Carlos. Once they announced the judge scoring and it was not unanimous, I knew we were screwed.
hard to bet UFC anymore.

If you check out fight numbers and actual strikes. 3-2 for Condit is worst case as it could have been 4-1 if you watch the fight for scoring.
But your right not one of the worst ones.

I dont think Ive ever witnessed anyone throw such a high volume of strikes, especially kicks. I loved CC combos this fight, everything was 3 or 4 or 5 at a time
I gave Lawler round 2 with the knockdown, and then round 5. Condit took a beating round 5, but never went down. What a fukking brawl
And to be clear, I agree that Carlos won that fight.
He was more aggressive, equally effective, octagon control, and if there was any edge in clinches it had to go to Carlos.

Giant - Nino told me yesterday that lawler was a lock...he had inside info on the fix but I wasn't supposed to say anything until after the fight

I'm waiting for The Moneyshot's info on this fight.
In the last couple of days he has said nobody died at Sandy Hook, planes didn't hit the towers, and Michigan State rolled over when going for the national championship.
If this fight was fixed, he would know!

What a paper champ ruthless is!! He lost to Hendricks and condit . First champ to win with 2 split decisions . This was not the worst decision ever , but Carlos deserved that fight and I feel bad for him . Holla

I would not say the fight was fixed as either fighter could have ended it at any time as they killed each other. I would say the judges decision smells fishy. Whether they suck, they are in bed with UFC for keeping more high profile fighters with the belt or whatever I do not know.
I just saw a guy fight one of the best fights, executed perfectly, knocked down the other guy 5 times (to 2) and out striked him by 112 total strikes and lost. The champ(Robbie who I respect tremendously) threw 75 strikes thru 5 rounds an won. Come on. He took off 3 rounds for the most part.

I feel like the people who complain about UFC judges being crooked are the same ones who bitch about on-line casinos being rigged.
Doesn't it go without saying? You're actually surprised when you get bent over?

Anybody with experience on 188bet.com mma betting? Do they give money back if fight is decided by judges? Because I saw on oddscomparison sites they offered this live as asian handicap +0 line.
+0 is same as draw no bet. thats why I ask

Somewhat, but they're not nearly on the same level as boxing/UFC judges.
Playing on-line casino and expecting a fair shake is just plain stupid.

There was just something about hearing, AND Newwwwww UFC Welterweight Champion Carlos Condit, that doesn't sound right. Especially with the screwy judging all night. I thought if it was remotely close, Lawler gets the nod. He's a throw back sprawl and brawler. He's a fighter the UFC needs in the spot light right now. Condit wins and Woodley & Hendricks wrestle him to death in a boring title fight.

Hendricks already did that to Lawler. Nobody seemed to see it though

What would be fun is if there was a "judges camera" so that you can see the fight from only their POV. We are so used to seeing things in HD from multiple angles and multiple replays (not to mention the obvious announcer bias) that we can't see how the fights are actually scored.

I commented on your thread. Thought Hendricks won 3-2 the second fight as Condit won 3-2 here. Something about Lawler's brawling style that resonates with the judges. I can't say I understand it.
Personally, I think if you are a judge and have let's say, 30-27 for the losing fighter, and the other judges have 30-27 or 29-28 for the winning fighter, you need to be downgraded by the NSAC. Seen so many horse shit decisions where the dissenting judge is on the complete opposite side of the "correct" decision.

Looks like all 3 cards had it:
Round 1: Condit
Round 2: Lawler
Round 3:
Round 4: Condit
Round 5: Lawler
with 2 having round 3 to Lawler and 1 having it to Condit.
Even though 10 strikes were counted for Lawler and 22 for Condit, with no knockdown/takedowns that round.
Plus, Condit threw 3 times as many strikes as Lawler did that round (24 vs 87)
Condit won 3-2. No question about it. This is why I will never bet a fight.

But I see I few posters indicating it's close to WWE? It sounds like it.

Rd 1: Close Condit, but close.. He hits him with an upjab and pushes him, there was no legit knockdown.
Rd 2: Clear Lawler, demolishes Condit with that hook and big ground and pound.
Rd 3: Very close... Lawler did more damage, Carlos threw a lot more, most of which was slipped/checked. Difference is that Lawler
actually slips while Carlos throws at him, and doesnt wait til after getting hit with a big bomb to stand around trying to look slick. Slight edge Condit on output maybe?
Rd 4: Condit clear. Hurts him on the cage and flurries.
Rd 5: Lawler clear, Can't believe Carlos stayed standing for that shit.. Condit did some work on the inside, but got absolutely blasted.
Very very close. Had no problem with it going to Lawler to be honest. All comes down to Rd 3. Had money on Condit.
Watched it with sound off though, I'm sure Rogan was sucking off Condit herky jerky movement and ineffective kicks off like a 2 dollar hooker though. Less movement coach, more boxing coach, Condit. He had the tools to take this fighter much easier.
Anyone calling this the robbery of the century or whatever are as dumb as the hendricks/GSP whiners, about a tossup fight.

I feel pretty much the same way. Really round three was the only round that wasn't decisive. But what I remember most about that round was how Lawler was like a recessed turtle taking a water break, he hardly threw anything at all. He was clearly saving his energy for round 5. In no way could I give him round 3, a draw at best. I didn't really see a 10-8 round, round 5 would've been the closest but Condit never tasted mat in that round.
Overall it was a 48-47 or 47-47 fight, so its not unfathomable that the fight went to Lawler. Fights this close are open to interpretation and subjectiveness
