Why wouldn't people want to see an up and coming star in Anthony Davis play in the playoffs?

i personally could care less about the pelicans. they just do nothing for me as a fan for some reason. Thunder are an exciting team to wtch led by durant and westbrook. Granted durant is out for the season, but it doesn't matter they are a big time team and the way westbrook has put them on his back has been amazing. I'd like to see russel get a chance to do that in the playoffs.

So crazy to end the year.
If Spurs win they clinch #2 seed. They have head to head tiebreaker over Houston. As the Division winner (if they win last game) that would give them the tiebreaker over the clippers.
If they lose and the rockets win, grizz win, and clips lose. Rockets would win division, Memphis has conference record tie breaker over Spurs, clips have conference record tie breaker. Spurs would be #6. Crazy!!!

If the Pelicans win, crazy scenarios will go down. Rockets look like Portland rematch is most likely again.

OKC will favored by at least 10 vs the T-wolves. That ML may be -800 or more, no value. Plus as a Pellies fan, NBA would rather see NO in the playoffs than half of the teams in the East who are sh*tty

By the way, if the NBA wants a better series, they should want the Pelicans in.

I'm just letting people talk. I don't care what the odds are... etc.
Pelicans are going to choke against the Spurs. Pop could suit up... and it would be enough... not worried about resting starters.
OKC will beat Minnesota... but perhaps... down to the wire... too close for comfort... but they will win.
I had a vision. And I spoke.
If Pelicans miraculously win.... it's going to be a BLOW BYE in the 1st round. A real yawner.

Money Shot, I was actually thinking of the same thing. The minute they reversed that technical, I knew the fix was in. Anthony Davis is a gigantic star on the horizon, but Russell Westbrook will bring much better ratings against Golden State. Pelicans are screwed.

OKC is a one man show right now. Does the NBA just want to see RW throw up 45 shots a game and get swept by GS?
The Pelicans have scorers to go along with AD, they can play with anybody.

The one man show though is one of the most popular guys in the game right now. Your normal ham and egger basketball fan has probably heard Russell Westbrook in the news more in the last week than they have heard news on the Pelicans since they changed their name.

I really hope I am wrong. It seems like I read and hear more about fixes in the NBA than in any other game. This kind of looked blatant to me.

the same will happen if OKC makes it since they literally play no defense and have a retard for a coach

Small players don't have the impact like a big player
Westbrooks just a ball hog many many guards can do this if they took the shots Westbrook does

OKC is missing two of their top three players. This team isn't remotely close to what they are when healthy.
The Pelicans are the better team right now and the chips have fallen their way this season to grab that 8th playoff spot.
Golden State would sweep both teams so it doesn't matter anyway.
I won't be surprised at all if the Pelicans win. Is San Antonio playing everyone?

I realized that but I honestly don't think Pop gives a shit about seeding.
Also, this game means just a little to the Spurs and everything to the Pelicans.
I think home court may just be enough to push them through.
