I like his singing and I like the Vegas style of lounge lizzard singing with him ,Dean Martin and Bobby Darin but Frank as a person was really a degenerate turd.Did anyone see the movie about him where Ray Leota played his part?He was a lying sack of sh%t too when he told the Nevada gaming board he never knew mob figures and they wheeled out a cart load of photos of him at every mob wedding and funeral in Jersey. For a small guy he thought he was a tough guy because he always had bohemouth gorrilla hench men at his side..Even a few years before he croaked for no reason he went balistic on a blackjack dealer in Vegas because he was losing and he overturned the table.I guess he was banned from a couple casinos. If he were still living he would be sucking up to Obama. It's a shame where a guy with all his talent had a warped personality.

WTF's right, I am a devoted Frank-o-phile (which I guess is a sweet double entendre, considering I like weiners too ). I still remember vividly where I was standing on the Oregon State campus when my phone rang and my boyfriend told me that he had passed. I wore all black for a week in mourning of such talent leaving the Earth.

Back in high school I was doing the piano bar scene, and the lady working the nights I didn't work actually wrote a song for Sinatra (Cycles, off the album of the same name, 1968). Her name is Gayle Caldwell, and she's lived in my hometown longer than I've been alive. I'll probably spend the rest of my life attempting to match her virtuosity and showmanship on the ivories. She just released her first album, and I encourage you guys to check it out, you won't be disappointed: http://www.gaylecaldwell.org/

Sinatra was a God among men, and if I live a live that's a tenth as full as he did, I'll be able to leave this planet with no regrets.

Big fan of Sinatra. Not only do I enjoy him as a crooner but he made some classic movies as well. The Joker is Wild is a relatively unknown movie amongst those in my generation. However, I'm sure many of you would thoroughly enjoy it. It chronicles the hardships of singer/comedian Joe Louis' (Sinatra's character) battles with alcohol and gambling addiction. It was a perfect role for Sinatra. Check it out if you ever get the chance.

First thing that jumped to mind for me when I saw this thread: Guys and Dolls - which also features a rare musical turn by Marlon Brando.

Pretty hard not to like Sinatra.

Enjoy listening to Frank, but prefer Mel Torme or Tony Bennett.

I love Guys And Dolls, Fugue For Tinhorns was the first musical number I ever performed on stage.

But if we're talking about Sinatra movies, the one that truly needs to be mentioned is Robin and the Seven Hoods from back in 1964! Best Rat Pack movie by far, and made all the better by Peter Falk and Bing Crosby joining them. If you haven't seen it, you truly need to.
