OT - I went and saw I Love You, Man
It was a pretty good turn-your-brain-off comedy. I am generally pretty snooty in my movie tastes but I enjoyed myself. My date was in borderline hysterics a few times. Her reactions alone were good for a few laughs.

My only "problem" was Paul Rudd. That guy is a really good actor - who I am sure could do more serious work if he wanted to. He did such a good job of inhabiting this dorky-guy-trying-to-be-cool character, it made me wince repeatedly.

    Funny though.

I like Paul Rudd a lot... looking forward to seeing this movie.

Taking the girlfriend to it when she visits next week.

Paul Rudd is great. Anchorman and Role Models and Forgetting Sarah Marshall...had me laughing hard in all those.

      Will see this one soon.

I thought it was a good movie. They mentioned my town a few times. The wedding was taking place in Santa Barbara. That got the crowd laughing when they mentioned that. I thought it was a great movie.

Speaking of Paul Rudd, I'll tell you a movie I thought he was really good in: I Could Never Be Your Woman.

I guess no one else saw it. I think it went straight to video. I thought it was pretty entertaining though. Not an all-time classic but I thought it deserved more attention. It's from Amy Heckerling who did Fast Times At Ridgemont High and it has Michelle Pfeiffer.

Anyway, the point is, Paul Rudd shows a ton of comedic talent in a leading role.

He's done some serious stuff. He was in that Neil Labute film, The Shape of Things. He was very good except, similar to I Love You Man, he did such a good job of portraying a weak, spineless character - it made me wince.
