    My Gripe With The "Sharps".....!
Have you ever noticed that these so-called Sharps or Wise Guys usually just take the points? If you watch ESPN's Millman/Cowherd show they'll tell you that the wise guys are on Jacksonville +14 or Tennessee +12. Really?! Is it wise/sharp to put your hard-earned $$ on crap teams like the Jags or Titans when they're playing far superior teams like Philly or Indy? I personally can't stand betting on bad teams. I loathe having to rely on terrible teams. They very rarely get it done.
They tell you you're a square if you consistently phone it in on teams like the Pats/Packers/Eagles/Colts/Broncos. Really?! Were you a square today if you took the Pats laying only 7 to a Lions team that cannot score?! Of course not. We outthink ourselves. Pick the team that's gonna win!! They're better and thus have a better chance of cashing your ticket.
There was an interesting thread this week where someone was asking if they ever knew of anyone who got rich betting sports. There aren't many, that's for sure. And with that knowledge I submit that "Wise Guys" are a myth. They don't exist. There are no real sharps. Every guy who walks up to the betting window is a square. At least put your money on the better team. They will screw you over less.

For starters, the most recent history shows that Jax and Tenn both got stomped. Never even put up a fight. How far back you want me to go?

Bet on good teams and bet against bad teams, regardless of the spread. You won't win 'em all of course. The Raiders will upset the Chiefs occasionally, but more times than not you won't shoot yourself in the foot. Bet on good teams and against bad teams. Bet on Michigan State. Bet against Eastern Michigan. Bet on Alabama, bet against Southern Miss. Bet on Oregon, bet against Wyoming. Bet on the Patriots, bet against Tampa Bay. Etc, etc, etc.

Biggest misconception in sports gambling is that sharp guys and wise guys are the same. You need to know where the smart money is on a game. Some games the public is the smart money and some games the sharps is the smart money.

                No such thing as sharps.

                Everything is random.

Do your best to be on the right side, with the best number, and pay the minimal price.

The idiots on TV have absolutely no idea where the smart money is going. they are just speculating that sharps were on jax and ten. You need to be able to filter all the sh!t out of the lines to figure out where the sharps are putting money.

When you cash your ticket, you're sharp.

                      Exactly.

                      Winning bet = sharp.
                      Losing bet = square.
