Tonight in NCAAB: Fading the SEC
I found some value with SEC opponents tonight. Here's who I'm on:

    Baylor +3.5
    Baylor ML +145
    Penn St. 1H +6
    Penn St. +10.5

I'm also looking at a total in these two games. I will keep you apprised...

    Fade away.

No. Penn St. does in Battle and Cornley. However, I expect them to play tonight.

Their home record is somewhat misleading. Not to take that much away from them since it is fairly impressive, but they've only beaten one team in the top 100 RPI by more than 7 points at home and that came against Miami in their last contest.

Those are 2 bad bets fading Florida and Auburn at home... I'm on the other side of you on these two.

Auburn/Baylor is a crapshoot IMO, something fishy about PSU/Florida. I LOVE Penn State at +10.5 but with Cornley AND Battle being knicked up, it has to be something

Just because the SEC didn't get any love in the tourney doesn't make them bad. 3 of the remaining NIT teams are SEC.

The SEC didn't get any love because the conference isn't very good.

Keep in mind that Auburn is playing a 9th place team from the Big 12 in Baylor tonight.

The SEC is full of young squads... Baylor is a young team as well but is clearly better than 9th place in the Big12. They are a better team than Texas and OSU at this point of the year.

What did that have to do with the outcome of this game? Both teams were playing well at the end of the season and the line was right where it should have been. Really could have went either way. Free throws did Auburn in a the end. Can't really say that either team was garbage.

Well, you definitely have to consider FT shooting when you are capping these games. Baylor was ahead the majority of the game. Auburn was fairly lucky to have a chance at the end.

neither team was garbage, no doubt....

but I think it is becoming clear it was a very down year for the SEC, no biggie they'll be good again in the next year or two.... I'm not sure if you are a big SEC fan or what, but Monkey found a great edge in fading the SEC today.... its nothing personal, money is money

I'm a big UF fan but could care less about the SEC overall. The conference was definitely down this year but it is young. It was like the ACC in football this past year. Good teams but none really special. A team like Arkansas could beat Texas and Oklahoma in the same week then lose 3 or 4 in a row. Most teams were very inconsistent. Next year there are several teams that are going to be very good. I expect UF to challenge for the title next year. If they didn't lose Speights this year they would have made a run this year. Next year they are stacked. UK has a good squad coming in as well.

I'm all about the money and I don't bet with my heart. I bet to make money. I took Auburn 2nd half because they played horrible 1st half and was only down 1 or 2. They came up a point short. It happens. My point was to fade both teams because they are in the SEC isn't necessarily a good thing when both teams are at home.

The SEC is one of the most athletic leagues in the nation in baskeball. Its just that they have the worst coaching in the nation as well. These SEC teams look lost against well coached teams. There is no gameplan, and it seems like they never scout the team they are playing.
