They know how to make it; they simply don't pay taxes. Or in Obama's case, he decided to save some money by getting a nice discount on a house he bought in Chicago. The man he bought the house from is now in jail.

Anyone ever question Obama about his drug use, lack of military service, lack of experience or the fact that he attended a racist church? I guess you can't label the church racist because they were preaching hate against white people.

While I agree that it's disgusting I don't agree that we are simply there to appease Americans. Shutting down the Taliban and their ties to international terrorism is a legitimate cause. Let's not forget that many Canadians died on 9/11 too.

The situation in Afghanistan is very different from Iraq. Dubya and Dick Cheney may want you to think they are the same war but they're not.

Al-Qaeda is a threat to Canada. If they are given arms and allowed to train and operate freely - as they were under the Taliban - that has a very direct effect on Canada, as 9/11 showed. That's why we're in Afghanistan (and not in Iraq).

This is all complete and utter nonsense. There is ZERO evidence that the Taliban had anything to do with 911, and pretty much zero evidence that a group called Al-Quada even exists, except in some computer at Langley (former British FM Robin Cook even said so). No disrespect to you but I am tired of people spouting off what they hear on CNN and read in the Washington Post as the gospel truth and expect others to just sit by and say nothing while shit mountains of half truths get disseminated around the media and internet. The reason why NATO is in Afghanistan has nothing to do with democracy or freedom and alot more to do with oil pipelines and the heroin trade, which the CIA is heavily ensnared in and is a vital interest. I could go on for tens of thousands of words on the subject of Afghanista, the Iraq War and 911 but I dont think anyone here is really that interested, and I'm sure I would be called a "conspiracy theorist" within a few minutes.
As a starting point why don't you try googling "Project for a New American Century".

Now I know you are a well respected poster on this forum and you are certainly entitled to your viewpoint, but I made up my mind after researching these subjects extremely heavily during the past 7 years to ALWAYS make a statement when I see people saying erroneous half truths. No disrespect is intended but please educate yourself on the subject before pontificating on it.

Suppose it could've been titled "Some Ignorant Americans".

Since words are being added to the title, it wouldn't have been "All Americans are Ignorant".
