Why is everyone so shocked when someone dies from Tasering?
I mean they kill ppl in the electric chair, ppl die from electrocution all the time, clearly if they just barely shocked some huge guy he wouldn't even feel it so theyve gotta have those things juiced up and ready to go, then they end up tazing some 15 yr old or 90 lb girl and are shocked when they die, I mean Im no expert on electricity here but if its strong enough to disable a 250 lb man wouldnt it probably kill a 90 lb girl?

I don't have all the info on this one but I have looked into this at times. I know most tazers/stun-guns it does not matter at all if you are 90lbs or 400lbs because unlike a drug (where weight is important) or like a blunt force (where size and muscle matter) tazers effect your neurological system which is startlingly similar between all sizes of people since the system is so high-speed the difference between a child and a giant would be measured in nanometers. Electricity....well that I don't know.

some peoples hearts just cant take the shock, like some electricians will get shocked 50 times and be fine, some it just takes once and its a wrap for them...

Thats what Im sayin, I know nothing about tazers except its constantly in the news about ppl getting killed by them, clearly they are not safe to use on everyone, apparently if someone has a heart defect or whatever (and there's no way to know if they do or not when u just whip out a tazer and start shocking them) they get killed, then they post all these stories in the news about wow so and so got killed, well of course they did they got electrocuted or "electroshocked" (is there a difference), my question is why is there so much surprise by this, theyve already had 300 people killed by them in the US alone, Im not even against using them if your an officer and you're being attacked (it's much less lethal than a gun) but just admit that in a decent percentage of cases its a lethal weapon, just so I can stop hearing about all the ppl that looked like they were going to fight the officer and he electrocuted them to death and then called an ambulance and low and behold they were dead, I get the message, if you value your life dont try fighting the cops, they can shoot you, electrocute you to death, beat ya to death, beat ya then shoot you, shoot ya then beat your corpse, whatever they want, so if you like bein alive just go along with what they tell ya to do and you'll be fine

I will easily admit it can and has been used as a lethal weapon. It will be interesting to see how human interest groups take this new story of the 15 year old girls death over the next few weeks.

I don't think anyone surprised, people are just pissed.
Well the government may act surprised.
