onner, i'm not really killing the books, but thanks anyways..

onner, i swear on a stack of bibles, i still can't name you one player in the whole NCAAB, not one. and i can't name you 1 player either in NCAAF, not one.. but to be successful in gambling, you don't need to know 1 player in sports..

the guys that will lose the most money are the guys that know every player in every league, and what year they were drafted, and what round, and what college they played for, etc.. this is all useless shit.. THE MORE YOU KNOW, THE LESS SUCCESSFUL YOU ARE.

you dont need to know any sports at all to be a winning gambler..

Why would Nicky know the name of college players if he doesn't watch games and only looks at the screen with lines on it, and doesn't enter any discussion threads on the sport?

Only 3 guys I know of hockey players are Crosby, Ovechkin, and....well thats it. I know 2 hockey players.

Davey, when i watch college sports, i dont pay any attention to the players, just the game.. I can hear the same players name 342 times in a game, and after game, i have no idea what his name is..

Davey, i can name you though 125 nba players and probably 349 nhl players, but 0 ncaab and ncaaf players. It's because i am not a big fan of college sports and when i dont care about something, i dont pay attention..

I just watched the last 10 minutes of the Dayton/WVU game and I seriously don't remember one name.

It's either old age or we don't care to remember names of players we'll never see again.

That said, between box scores and catching the end of games in the tournament overall, have you learned at least one name?

same here, matty. i can watch the whole tournament and not know 1 player after it's over. it just doesn't stick in my mind.. but boys, don't forget, me and matty are both from montreal. we live 5 miles from each other in a city where college sports is not a big thing here. there's not much coverage on it here. that might explain a bit too.. we dont hear about college at all here. we only hear hockey, baseball and some NBA.. i can name you tons of players in baseball, hockey especially, and NBA, but not college sports. in the states, college is big, not here. that might explain a bit of it..

No. I've bet on 12 games so far, and I only cared to look at box scores or the score at the bottom of the TV screen. I'm sure I'll learn a bunch of names now that I'm aware of the fact that I didn't bother learning a single one.

Vegas Dave these guys in other countries might not get ESPN USA feed and don't hear these guys being pumped up...it's like me not paying attention when I hear hockey stories...they don't pay attention when it comes to college hoops.
