    A good MOD
should be like a good official in sports.... they are doing a good job if they seem invisible. We shouldn't be focusing on refs in sports and we shouldn't be spending so much time talking about mods here on the forum in the midst of one of the biggest gambling/sporting events in the US for the year.

We are all grown ups here, moderating an internet forum could be tricky I guess, but it shouldn't be brain surgery...... When it comes down to it, its just words on the computer, NO physical fights or danger is gonna come to anyone due to insults. if people don't like it, turn your computer off, get some thicker skin, learn to roll with the punches, fire back, have fun.

by the same token, Posters shouldn't be cry babies if they get an infraction.... Its and infraction!!! big fukin deal stop acting like rasheed wallace and making matters worse. So many posters with problems with authority....

Let's get back on track and focus on making money and having fun

That all sounds full of creamy goodness, but it doesn't really hold water IMO.

Sometimes it seems like you're saying, "We shouldn't focus on the refs," and sometimes you're saying, "The refs should stop doing things that force us to focus on them."

I don't see any real position there. Just comes across as, "Wouldn't it be good if everything was good?"

    I agreed with this part:

Mods being hard-asses and being over-protective of posters and getting involved too much, AND posters being cry-babies are not mutually exclusive. both of these things are happening and the former does not necessarily correspond to the latter...

      a) we have situations where mods get involved and shouldn't..... let's stop that...

      b) we have situations where posters ASK mods to get involved and, hey that's their right, but come on grow a pair.....

2 separate situations, 2 separate positions...

somtimes situation 1 leads to situation 2, which leads back to situation 1 again in a little endless loop... I guess it would be nice if situation 1 never happened..
some people like to pull out their old wrinkley former mod balls, for no apparent reason and ride off on their high horses and think they are smart, when really they couldn't decipher what the post was all about..

2 separate situations.... 2 separate positions...1 poster that should have better things to do

How many mods at SBR do you know that they look like sport officials? 4 out of 5 looked like they haven't done any exercise since they pushed themselves out from their mom's womb.
