It sounds like a battle royale took place on that sinking of the NFL players fishing boat a couple weeks ago.I'm no expert on what panic makes a person do but it seemed like these guys turned on each other pretty fast.I know the Donner party resorted to eating the one's who froze but they probably weren't talking trash and landing haymakers as they were freezing. You hear stories how the Titanic went down where the violin players were playing music while they let the women, children and John Jacob Astor ''Thurston Howell the 3rd'' board life boats.

I guess being in water without chance of rescue has the same affect as being in the desert without any water where you just lose your mind.I'll bet the lone survivor has alot to say about what took place when that boat sank off Florida but family ,the government and media are telling him to shut the hell up.I doubt you will see it become a book.

Brent, what has led you to this conclusion? Is there some story floating around? Did a quick search but came up empty.

Ok, thanks General. Haven't really followed this and rarely seek anything out at any FOX source. A lot of details still missing, beginning with the part about just how the boat filled with water that quickly simply from an anchor being hung up on a reef. Certainly it could fill if they're hung up and the seas kick up to the 14-foot number quoted in this story, but at some point you quit trying to pull the anchor up and cut it loose if it's dragging you down and allowing water to pour in.

Exactly how much experience did these guys have to have gone that far offshore in a 21' boat like that?

Not to sound like a racist but two of the guys were black football players and the other two white ex-football players. I say combined I.Q. of the four is 240 assuming they were not drunk or on drugs at the time of the incident. As far as marine vessel navigating experience my guess is minimal.

I would be surprised if one or more didn't freak out. Imagine bobbing in the water in a life jacket for hours (that seem like days) and days (that seem like weeks) with no sign of rescue, no water or food.

My heart goes out to these men, may they rest in peace and my best to their families.

Couldve been Michael Phelps, Mark Spitz and Jaque Cousteau out there and they all wouldve drowned.

They probably would have tried and swam back to shore

My buddy sh1tfaced in a bar one night went up to a black guy in a coast guard uniform, and said " i didn't know you guys new how to swim." Maybe that played a factor.

Cooper, the boat’s owner, had more than 100 hours of boating experience but no formal education, and had been drinking, according to the report.
