How has Siena shown that they can play with ANYONE outside of the MAAC? In other words, who have they beaten? I'll give you a short answer: NOBODY.

It's basically the same Siena team (top 3 scorers back) that destroyed Vandy in the opening round last season. Make no mistake, Siena can play. They're a better team than tOSU, and their press will give the Buckeyes fits. Big 11 teams aren't accustomed to playing at Siena's pace. Only advantage for tOSU is the game being in Dayton. Won't matter... Siena wins this game handily.

What makes you think Siena will control the pace in that game? Siena's best out of conference win came against St. Joes. They lost to every quality team they faced. I just don't see it. Hasbrouck wouldn't be much in a conference with tougher competition, IMO. Yeah, they had a Cinderella story last year but I don't see it repeating. In fact, I guarantee Matta will be showing his team tape of last year's dance to ensure that the Buckeyes don't overlook them.

I like Siena in this one, and then they're going to get their @sses handed to them by Louisville. So it would be small play moneyline and bigger play pointspread.

I have to admit that Siena +3.5 is the play here. I'll take the points as well as the ML on this one, thank you very much! OSU nibbles on donkey balls.

Guys, rjt is right on here. Siena is a much better team than Ohio State, don't let their conference affiliations fool you. Besides, the Big Ten blows, so there is no reason why the best team in the MAAC can't handle a mid-level Big Ten team.

Ohio St. played very well vs. Michigan St. the other day and a lot of people will give them credit for that win.
Siena...yes in a weak conference, YES, they lost all non conference games last year, but they can still hang w/ Ohio St.
It was stated earlier, but I'll say it again, Siena has the same team as last year except for Tay Fisher. The same team that beat Vandy as a #13 seed last year.
They obv. have a better team this year being able to go 16-2 in Conference and have only 7 losses on the year. They are seeded 9th which is crazy fro the MAAC conference. They are easily the best team in the conferecne and easily have a great chance to beat Ohio St.
I'll wait to bet this as well...probably ML and Spread

You are overlooking the fact that Siena is not facing a quality team here either.

I am tailing rjt and LT, going to wait until game time so some good Ohio State Alumni can put some fat money on OSU and I can get a little extra value out of Sienna.

Siena has a better than 50% chance here!
You can say all you want about their out of conference games, but the fact is they played top 10 teams on the road and played them all tough except Tennessee. They even played Pitt tough on the road, were only down 4 points in the final minutes. They also beat N. Iowa which is pretty good!
I was also disappointed to see they have to play Louisville in the 2nd game. I appreciate that they got a #9 with the respect, but I'd rather have a 10 or 11, so the second game would be winnable.

Joe, I was thinking the same thing. I saw bracketology had them as high as a #9, but I was rooting against that for same reason. If they win, they play Louisville, NO CHANCE.
Being a 10 or 11 gives them a better chance. But, O well, 9 is still madd good.
BTW...TO EVERYONE
SIENA IS SPELLED W/ 1 N.. NOT SIENNA.

its like this... even though the big10 is one overrated pile of cow dung, they still have much better players than little siena does. osu much better ATS and away from home and they play much better teams all year long. the defensive pressure osu will apply will have seina in all kinds of trouble. its not like osu is a fukking scoring juggernaut but this line is all kinds of short and osu should roll. for sammys sake, i hope im wrong, but its not likely. sammy, make this a normal play bud. dont blow you whole roll in a 1st round game.

NO Chance of me betting any more than $100 on this. I may not even do that much.
Someone said Ohio St. would be like 9 point favs...if that was the case, I would bet a shit load, but 3.5 is right line.
I will make normal play here, nothing huge.
Good Luck to all

I was the only one to spell it wrong, my bad typo. Damn you have a hard on for this team. Didn't realize you would find it such an atrocity, or I would have triple spell checked.

Uhh. When did Siena play N. Iowa? They averaged losses of more than 10 points against Tennessee, Pitt, Oklahoma St., and Kansas. They couldn't even beat a Wichita St. team that finished fifth is the Missouri Valley Conference at home! Meanwhile, Ohio St. has beaten Butler, Michigan St., Miami, Purdue and Iona out of the MAAC by 18.

This seems more of a case of people hating the Big 10, than people liking Siena.
