SBR Still Hasn't Learned A Thing

Its not exactly Cold Calling if you sign up for the place and they call you. Cold calling is if they randomly picked your name out of a phone book....

But I agree it does suck....JustBet has called me at least 3 times since signing up 3 weeks ago.

To remove any potential allegations of fraud if a book decides they want to be a stinker about a payout. That's why I give my real number, anyway.

Agree with Scholar.

Amby, I consider cold calling any book soliciting a deposit by calling a player when they do not initiate some form of contact. SBR needs to tell these books that if they are signed up through SBR affiliate links, to remove them from call-lists from the get go. I've asked Bookmaker 20 times for removal and still get called a few times a week.

That is just not gonna happen. SBR gets the money from the books for the leeds to get us to post up. I hate cold calls as much as anyone which is why I do not give out my main number. I have a number from www.grandcentral.com that is automatically forwarded to a voicemail. If someone leaves a voicemail I get a text alerting me too it. Plus if I ever want the calls to come through, I can forward those incoming calls to my main lines. All of this for no charge. Thanks Google

Hey guys. Looks like grandcentral is making it harder to sign up. I use to be able to send out invites to people to sign up because they are technically in beta. They have disabled the invites though.

It now just says you can reserve a number and they will get back to you. I don't know how long that will take though.

SBR hasn't learned anything? Looks to me like they are making their money. People are still signing up with these books.

It's not like people are leaving SBR in protest; as this thread shows, they just do some minor grumbling now and then. I doubt anyone at SBR is losing sleep over a thread like this.

I question the learning ability of someone who signs up at an online sportsbook and doesn't think marketing calls are possible. But SBR seems to have their part figured out okay.

It's not that SBR hasn't learned a thing, it's the players that sign up didn't learn a thing.

Obviously they aren't changing their tactics (which yes, are annoying)...so it's up to us to decide to accept them or not.

I signed up a couple of months ago and never deposited. Within 5 minutes of sending my account number to Crazyl for the bracket contest I got a phone call and a e-mail.

Come on, these guys are running a business, is this news to you? For all the free tools they offer I think it's acceptable for sponsors to cold call you. I hate cold calls too.....but thats why I don't sign up for the books they offer through the "free" contests. If you don't like it, stop playing the SBR freerolls.

Any time you contact a business or open an account with a business they should follow up with you. This is not "cold calling" it is called "following up" on a business opportunity. If JustBet didn't contact you I would be surprised, they are the ones at fault. JustBet is simply doing their job.

The industry has changed a lot with processing issues. It's not as fun for the players or the sportsbooks.

These days players signup and look for the instant way to send cash and can't get it done. Whether it's credit card failing or an intro to a new method that turns them off, you have players saying screw it. Some books risk bugging players by calling shortly after to help the player get going. Unfortunately for players who don't want calls, this makes business sense for the book.

We don't expect Justbet to call anyone right after registering but the possibility of them being your book is why they put up the $5,000. Those who get a call should let them know if you don't want any further. If this process becomes common SBR will add it to contest descriptions.
