its 1958 and you had the sports almanac with all the results of games till now..

but you are only able to place 3 wagers, with 25k each

what 3 historical HUGE underdogs would you take to win the most money???

    what was tyson/douglas?

I'd take the Jets on the ML in the Super Bowl over the Colts for one.

I would have hopped into the Delorian, set the flux capacitor, got that bitch up to 88 and started my betting w/ the Tampa Bay Rays to win the American League Championship 30-1...then I would have proceeded to the Mirage Casino 1990 and got my 42-1 ticket for Buster Duggs to beat Tyke Mison...and I can't for the life of me dig this one up, but I would have went forward from 1990 to the beginning of the 2001 NFL Season and bet the New England Patriots to win the superbowl the day AFTER Drew Bledsoe was put on IR for the season...it had to be better than 75-1...making my total take an estimated $3,675,000...maybe more if the Patriots were 100-1 or better that year.

today there was almost a +4000 dog win.. Kansas lost outright at home to UMASS.. Kansas were -18.5 pt favs..

yeah, you can predict this stuff huh?? i wonder who handicapped this one right..

as you can see, sports betting is very predictable..

I guess that was a lock, right?

It's funny -- I probably think about that stupid Almanac from that effing movie every day when I place a bet. I'm glad someone else remembers this.

Easy answers, and two have already been mentioned.

2008: Oregon State Beavers over USC Trojans

2007: Stanford Cardinal over USC Trojans

1990: Buster Douglas over Mike Tyson
