So proud of my daughter, she was chosen to do a 4 month placement for her bachelors* program. Downside: it's on the other side of the country.
So Mrs. Jayvegas & I decided that we were going to visit her at the end of June.
This is totally going to sound like I'm angleshooting my wife but this is the God's honest truth, it's substantially cheaper to fly from here to Vegas & then Vegas to Kelowna on swoop airlines than it is to fly Air Canada direct to Kelowna.
Somehow, I pulled it off. I convinced her that I was going to win the Colossus WSOP Event & meet her in B.C. with $800,000.00.
They have significantly* lowered the Colossus buy in this year to $400, so here's the breakdown:
We have 2 free nights at Signature Suites ($81 resort fee)
We have one free night at Hooters
We have 3 nights at 4 Queens ($45/night)
We have 4 free meals at 4 Queens
We have one free buffet at any strip casino
We have $75 free Play at MGM Grand
We have $15 Match Play at Luxor
Finally, we have plastic behind us ($1,000.00 CAD)
The Game Plan:
We are going to run through the $75 free play at MGM Grand, hopefully make $400 and buy in directly to the Colossus. If we don't make $400, we take the rolled over FreePlay to a blackjack machine and turn that into $400, enter the Colossus.
If we lose at Blackjack, we have one last shot at the Luxor, and we will try to turn a $15 match play into $400. If we find ourselves 0 for 3, at this point we have two options... We pull out the plastic and take out $400 and buy into Colossus or..... we take out $150 and enter a deepstacks event and try to mini cash for around $400.
Buy into The Colossus.
This a poker heavy trip with a few baseball parlays or golf bets. We'll be spending the majority of our time at the Rio.
Also planning a day in Laughlin.....we'll see if we have time.
