Yes...and 3 goals in the last 9.5 minutes.....very nice.

If I were tailing any of my games I would serious consider changing it up.....as an outsider what I would do is make all of my WBC wagers, my ATP wagers and my NBA ATS and ML plays.....and I would combine those with El Nino's NHL plays.

Anyone who does that.....is going to make some scratch.

Nice day, nothing crazy....but solid. nice job by the Lakers....I held on all day to wait for the line to drop and it did come down to 8.5 and that was enough to get me on the game. The Lakers and the Raptors have been magic for me this season......I seem to always be on them, win or lose.

Hey everyone....I have had a couple of members PM me and ask where I came from....my history, etc. The following is something that I posted 38 days ago, right before I began posting my picks daily for you.

Here it is:

Thanks for checking out my post....

I am relatively new to sports betting, although I have a long history with casinos, poker (online and live) and of course fantasy leagues and drafts. I cannot tell you why it has taken me so long to finally dive into this new world, but please be gentle...I am sure I will make mistakes in etiquette during my initial time here.

My story:

I am forty years old, single but in a committed relationship that will probably get to the next (intimidating) stage. I am a long time winning poker player in cardrooms throughout British Columbia (yes, now is the time to let Canadian jokes fly!) But have always had issues online with loss-chasing....it seems so much easier in person as I don't let myself lose my control, or leave to 5/5 table to head to 10/20, but online...that's exactly what I do. Maybe I have avoided online sports betting because it would allow me to do the same.

So...six weeks ago I made a $200 deposit on Bodog, taking advantage of the extra $100 in bonuses. That first night I put almost all of it into play and had what I would consider to be a decent night (I would have to go back to find our the exact numbers).

My first week was very good (betting almost exclusively the NBA, between $20 and $35 per game, mostly spread and totals) and I was able to head into the NFL weekend and make some bigger bets.

What I found is that, for some reason, I do much better on the hard court than on the grid iron...which is exactly the opposite of what I would have assumed! Wild card weekend I went 0/4 ATS, but hit 3/4 totals to take some of the sting out of things.....then had another solid week in the NBA before going 0/2 in Divisional Weekend, and losing $1200 in those two games. Again I hit the totals for modest amounts. Sunday was a different story as I managed to hit both games and both totals...which really got me into the game.

Now, 6 weeks in, I have played just about every game out there and made just about every mistake out there as well. I have bet soccer when I was bored and wanted actions, U20 and U19 stuff that I have no idea about, golf, tennis (Davis Cup, Aussie Open and even some little crappy tournaments where I recognized next to NO names).

Through all of it I have survived, and in fact, have flourished. In the middle of the run I had a ridiculous 55-14 run, which included nights of 11-2 and 13-2. I know I am probably betting too many games without a specific plan, BUT I will say that I am keeping within my Bank now (something that I should have learned in online poker but didn't), and I have only found myself chasing a loss twice...once winning and once losing. I also managed to have a 10-1 night last night (8-1 NBA and 2-0 NHL)....which is probably why I am so jacked today.

How did I find this site? I was Googling ' possible to win at sports betting'.

I am still a little shocked at my initial success...and I am wondering if/when I should expect the walls to crumble down.

As of now I am still not line shopping, still haven't focused in on exactly what I should be doing....and that's why I am here! I plan to read a lot more here....and am thinking that I may post certain picks, etc. As for now, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

As far as my being 'honest' you will never have to worry about that. I have no issue with not being completely upfront. I plan to go back into my history (I am hoping Bodog will send this to me?), and post all of my results as percentages for the different sports.

So, since that time I have continued to run at 57.4% over our last 510 picks. My 530 prior to starting this thread were run at 59.4%.....one of these days I am going to break down my numbers across all of the different sports....

UNLESS somebody wants to do it for me? Lol....I could pay in SBR points or something? Or maybe I will just get my lazy ass in gear.

One thing you will note is that just three months ago I was wagering between $20 and $35 and now my average wager is well over $125. Which is helping me grow faster and faster......after the first $7k withdrawl I am going to start to leave it to grow. My goal is to be averaging $500 bets by the end of 2013.

All in all, I am really loving this site, posting, reading others posts. The only time I ws beginning to get discouraged was a week ago, but I managed to figure it out. I was overthinking things....'this game looks too good to be true....it's a trap....I shouldnt bet it, or I should reverse it'!! That is NOT what has got me to where I am. I am always going to listen to what my brain tells me.....no more overthinking things!!

As I sit here and type Puerto Rico has just eliminated Japan from the WBC. Great job PR.....you showed nothing but class, and good luck against DR in the FINALS!!

Big card in the NBA tomorrow night and at this point I am already seeing some great value. I will try to have the picks out by 11am Pacific so that everyone has time to get them in. There are also 2 O/U that I am digging in the NHL, along with one NHL ML play.

Also, thanks for all the great comments. It is good to know that some people are finding my advice helpful. Hopefully the good fortunes will continue for all of us.

The one thing I want to stress to people is this.....if you are doing well, have a nice system or are making good wagers, DO NOT continue to take out money regularly. This 'game' we play is a small edge play....and we all know how compound interest adds up...let your BankRoll build and soon you will be betting more than you would have ever thought....and never be nervous about it...after all, it is not money, you need to be able to look at it like poker chips, or units....

I love that question. Almost everyone will be backing the Nets tonight, and here is why I am on the Pistons.

1. The Nets are lazy
2. The Nets do not play well on the road
3. The Nets continually play down to their competition
4. The Nets are comfortable with their playoff standing and you can tell they are not hungry to move up, and that they think they will be able to hold their position by beating inferior teams at home (this is the east after all)

This is a direct quote from Reggie Evans (I found this after I had listed my reasons above):

"The positive thing about it is just knowing that it's the NBA, you've got so many games, so you go win the next one, then you forget all about this one, you know?" said Reggie Evans, who had a season-high 14 points and 22 rebounds. "But it makes the flight longer."

Losses mean nothing to these guys.....that quote says it all.

For the Hawks, I see some value in the ML play there, but there is no way I would give up the 3.5 points....chances are they will need those points.

The Nuggets have value. This would be a huge win for them, and nobody out there realizes how important Taj Gibson and Heinrich are to the Bulls. Again, I hate giving up the 3.5 points in a road game, so I think this is also a ML play (this is a better play than the Hawks in my mind).

The Wizards and an anomaly and are tough to cap. I think we ALL know how terrible Charlotte is, and that they KEEP losing despite the books jacking the points. In this case I think this game is a NO PLAY. Charlotte is bound to win one ATS and this is EXACTLY the kind of matchup they will do it in. If you do decide to play this one I would play it ATS, because chances are Charlotte will lose by 20 OR win this outright.

Yes, but thanks...lol. Many of those wins came in that crazy streak after firing their coach, when they actually played like a motivated team. With recent losses to Washington, Chicago and Philly they are not to be trusted imo. They always seem play teams like Indiana and Atlanta on the road really tough.....those are the games they get up for.

I have watched quite a bit of Nets Bball this year and I am very happy with the side I am currently on.

Who would that be? Knight is a game time decision (and I like Stuckey there anyway) and Munroe is playing....am I missing something?

im a nets fan watch every game and they are a very inconsistent team. PJ uses horrible rotations some games and you never know which team is going to show up. But after all star break dwill has been playing the the dwill of old and i dont think he will let nets lose this one. They are mad about last nights loss and looking to bounce back. especially since its the first game of a 8 game 17 day road trip. This is a must win for them
