Taco, easy. I love Tim Wakefield. If I owned a team, I'd want a knuckler and a slider each, maybe two sliders and a knuckle curve specialist in the pen somewhere as well. And also some guy that threw a heavy ball, you know what I mean heavy balls? That's what we used to call sinkers, heavy balls. Don Nottebart, who used to be my neighbor and threw the first no-hitter in Houston franchise history, threw a heavy ball. Now in the later years when Joe Niekro was there, god rest his soul, he threw everything. Most people think of him as a pure knuckler like his brother the Hall of Famer. But Joe threw more fastballs, straight changes and would change his arm angle a lot. I'd also want a good lefthanded screwballer. Got to have at least one left-hander in your harem right, wink-wink, nudge-nudge, say no more. Now Mike Cuellar used to have a good screwball, probably at least at Top 3 screwball of all time. Probably got to give old Meal Ticket Carl Hubbell the top spot, then it's open to debate, but Cuellar's was one of the best I ever saw by a lefty in my time. Problem is if you have a good lefthanded screwballer, then you got to keep away from the righthanded fadeaway pitchers. Like if you have Hubbell on your team then you probably don't want Christy Mathewson on the same team, even though anyone that wouldn't want Big 6 on his all-time team is smokin fcukin' crack.

Boston redsox -1.5 (+140)
TB Rays team total over 4 runs (+125)

Does anyone know how a cold night will affect a knuckleballer like Wakefield? And how time off between starts affects knuckleballer like Wakefield.

Be careful this may be another one of those fixed games because too much money will be wagered on the rays. Sonnanstine dominated the redsox in 2 sept starts just like LEster dominated the rays in 3 starts at fenway in 2008. Sonnanstine and the rays have allowed 6 or more runs in 4 of his last 8 starts. The four teams to score 6 or more runs against Sonanstine and TB were the tigers, blue jays, Orioles and the whitesox. Sonanstine however pitched very well against the red sox in 2 of those 8 starts.

Prediction: THis is a fix game to make sure the series is extended to 7 games. That would be much better for ratings. Watch for redsox to hit some Homeruns off of Sonanstine.

absolutely 100% right
my only guess is they dont watch baseball. bc if they had the directv ticket, they would see that all year long this team has done it. they killed chisox and there was never any doubt by anyone who watches, that this team is legit

people have long built in biases that are hard to fight thru i guess

more money for me.
