I think it's likely that white folks come on SBR and get all racist because it is socially acceptable for blacks to be openly racist in American society, but not whites. 30 years ago it was not like this. I wonder what it will be like 30 years from now. This would be a much more interesting conversation that what people say about black coaches and players on SBR.

Sports are one of the last great equalizers in our society. When you step in the batters box either you can hit or you can't. It doesn't discriminate. Race will not help you. The same can be said for all sports. Coaching is the same. Either you win or you don't. The record not the color speaks for itself.

I find it ironic that two of the top three coaches in college football this year are David Shaw and Kevin Sumlin. Only Urban Meyer can claim he's overachieved as much as these two cats. Kudos to the head coaches at Stanford and A&M, and yes, they're men of color.

It's hard to be a good coach if you don't have the horses in football, period. Look at Saban when he was at MSU or Chizik at Auburn post-Cam.

Tomlin can't win because PIT doesn't have the guys. Period. If you had some serious smelling salts and Lombardi, the Steelers would still be 0-2 right now.
