your slut of an exwife can't go after that as earnings. AND if she does try to say I won something she knows I will produce a million bucks worth of scratch-offs that say i am in the hole.

Does anyone else deal with alimony and gambling proceeds? Im new to this and want to make sure the woman of my nightmares doesn't get more than a piece of the glorious salary I earn at the potato plant.

As long as you don't claim it on your taxes how the hell would she know?

Seriously, do you have to pay tax on gambling income there? Ive heard a few references to it but Ive never known.

We did in the UK (9%) until about 5 years ago when books just started running phone lines from the West Indies and stuff to bypass the tax laws. The gvt could find no way of taxing at source and a massive part of the UK betting industry was relocating overseas .. so they just scapped the whole lot.

The only snags we have are the anti money laundering legislation which can be a pain in the arse for ID'ing etc.

Brick may be playing with fire here. All income should be filed...not sure what the X can get a piece of though.

Funny topic. I'm sure if you claim 'pro gambler' on your tax return she would get a % of the annual earnings or a % based on past earnings???

I don't know. Ask me again in February. BUT i do have huge boxes of scratch tickets at the plant. My wins and losses can be balanced off and there is nothing wrong with claiming the losses.
