    Total Bases Wagering Question
According to 5Dimes, "Both players must START for action in total base wagering. Single=1 point, Double=2 points, Triple=3 points, HR=4 points, (Walks & Stolen Bases do not count). Player with the most points in the game is the winner."

They cancelled one of my wagers because a player was slotted as the DH instead of their typical outfield spot. They claim that this doesn't count as a START for Torii Hunter. If this is the case, why are DH constantly being matched up with other players who may or may not be DH in Total Base Wagering? I understand the rule of START as being in the STARTING lineup, which Torii Hunter was.

Am I correct or is 5Dimes' wagering department?

Maybe start means actually fielding a position. Did you go to Live Chat and get the specifics at to why it was cancelled?

That's bullshit, no start is not referring to a position in the field, DH is a legit position in the AL and has its place in the batting order like every other position. No shock this is coming from 5dimes who IMO has been on a steady decline for quite some time now. Total BS and you should have been paid out.

sounds like typical "negative freerolling" by the shady books.... be assured that there would have been no refund/push/cancellation of your wager if you happened to have lost. Sportsbook.com was notorious years ago for intentionally misspelling a listed pitchers name and then when a player won a wager, saying it was no action due to their error in listed pitchers.

just curious as to if the wager amount was greater or less than 40 bucks?

Can't be because they give you offers on DH players all the time, sometimes matched up against other DH players but at other times against position players.

I agree. This is pretty ridiculous but it was only for a fraction of my unit. I am going to try to move some money out of 5D into Greek since they also offer total bases prop wagers. I'm guessing 5D will give me the run around with this too...

Just curious, did Hunter bat in a different spot as a DH versus a field player? I'm sure the place in the order has an effect on the odds.

you make a point in terms of odds to position in lineup, but 1. this is not the bettor's problem and 2. this does not void a bet, both players still started, the number they were to bat in the lineup is irrelevant....bettor should have been paid, bottomline.

5D still refuses to change it. Since it's only $100, I'm going to let it slide this time.

I managed to move a decent amount out of 5D and into Greek within an hour so I guess they aren't trying to completely screw me.

Fk that dude, the amount is irrelevant, you deserve to be paid for your winning wager. File a complaint with SBR and see what happens, its better than just giving up on it; worst that happens is SBR says they can't settle it. However I see no reason why SBR can't get them to settle this as a winning wager, it cleary is, and anyone with common sense can realize that.
