#40I agree, firstrowsports is good as the last option but i hate the quality and the damn ads i have to get rid. I don't know if non jailbroken iPads will do video out with the nfl pass app but with my jailbroken ipad i mirror the screen onto projector and the quality is perfect.Comment -

#41I got to the site finally. I had originally gone there using Firefox without my VPN and when I went back with my VPN it remembered me. Simple went there with VPN on and used IE and it worked fine. Kind of worried about the CC part tho. BTW, I use VyprVPN as a member of Giganews and it's great.
BTW NGD is running an awesome usenet deal that just started, great for people that don't download alot from usenet:
Great deal to jump on for people that don't download much like me, never understood how some people can download hundreds of GB's on average a month. Once I grabbed all the classics and major TV series, there was nothing left. Now I just grab a few things a month that seem decent, I probably average 20-30GB a month if that. Like what good movies have come out this month.....Avengers/Prometheus and a few so-so movies like Dark Shadows/Snow White/Men in Black 3/Cabin in the Woods. Only time I would go on an unlimited plan was if I was just building a media library, once you get everything you want then switch to a block and just get the new things.Comment -

I use firstrowsports too, decent website but I've read people complaining about getting malware and shit from all the ads that pop up. A few times I've noticed I had to turn off adblock plus/Flashblock in Firefox to get the stream to come through, when you do that of course you are spammed to hell. Or the video stream you watch is very delayed and the Redzone channel will ruin the game for you, I sort of use both now together though, I'll watch the majority of my Steelers games using the stream on firstrowsports and the Red Zone channel I have through Dish will switch to the game once a team gets into the Red Zone of course or show the big plays.
If you have DirecTV you can get the NFL game pass free every year if you are out of your original 2 year contract. I posted about this before and there are numerous threads on slickdeals about it. You just got to call and make sure you are transferred to their retentions department and make them think you are canceling or whatever and ask for the NFL Gameplan package for free. This year was very easy since DirecTV dropped all those channels for a period of time, all you had to do was call in and bitch and ask for it and bam you got it.
I call Dish all the time and dial the extensions to get to retentions department and you don't even want to know what they give me, I know how to work the system. Speaking of which I'm gonna call in this weekend again and have them extend my free HBO/Cinemax/Starz for another 3 months since Dish dropped the Big Ten Network because of negotiations or whatever, just call in and bitch and bam they'll give me what I want. Already got Cinemax free for 1 year, free Roku media player streaming Box, Free ESPN College Football Game plan (Normally $100+), Outdoor sports + Red Zone/NFL network, $15 off the bill per month. One good thing about Dish is excellent customer service, so far at least.
I just wish I could find a site that had high quality streams of NFL games (Steelers) that wasn't extremely delayed. Usually I can find a decent stream at firstrow or atdhe.eu so it's not that bad I guess, the deal the OP posted is okay if you don't have any way to watch the games.
Do you guys know of any other good free streaming websites? Or other ways to watch NFL games very cheaply?Last edited by Nittany Lion; 09-29-12, 01:52 AM.Comment -

#46I got this working. Thanks a lot to the OP. I found a site that explained it and followed his instructions. I'm viewing for free right now(archived week3 games).
Go to this site, and follow the instructions By Howardc. The proxy he gives doesn't work, so scroll down a couple more posts and someone posted a link for free proxies, this worked.
Even if you will be viewing on iPad you still need to follow instructions from PC. Again, thanks to the OPComment -

To help you pick the best VPN, we asked dozens of VPNs to detail their logging practices, how they handle torrent users, and more.
That lulzsec hacker that got busted was using the hidemyass VPN service, so they definitely log. But if you're hacking and trying to bring down big corporations, you don't go with a VPN from a commercial company.Last edited by Nittany Lion; 09-29-12, 07:45 PM.Comment -

#48You're getting ripped off if you're using Giganews for your usenet access, there are many cheaper options that will work just as fine. Astraweb has unlimited usenet access for $10 or so a month, and if you don't download that much like me, a block plan is the better way to go.
BTW NGD is running an awesome usenet deal that just started, great for people that don't download alot from usenet:

#50Anybody looks for services that have free trials to see if it works first, I found these.
1 Week Free Trial and they have a server in the Netherlands so you can get the NFL game pass for free.
1 day free trial, not sure if they have any place in the Netherlands though, if they don't you won't be able to get game pass for free. (EDIT) They do, Cactus VPN has 3 high speed servers located in 3 countries: America / UK / Netherlands
Try CactusVPN for free! Our VPN free trial has no speed and bandwidth limitations or any other restrictions. No credit card required.
Free 3 day trial, (EDIT) Guess they don't have any place in the Netherlands. "Sweden, Switzerland and Austria are places where iPredator servers are located"
https://www.ipredator.se/signup
As I was searching/browsing, this site was very helpful, lots of great reviews and info.

#51Just did the 24hr free trial on http://www.cactusvpn.com to see how it worked. Very easy, chose the Amsterdam server, went to nfl.com and clicked on game pass. Created an account and bam, started watching NFL network and clicked on some games from last week to see how it went since my internet speed is slow. Worked decently. Gonna try it out tomorrow and watch some live games to see how it looks. I wonder what the free trial limitations are, every time the Steelers play a game that is not broadcast I could just do the 1 day free trial over and over.Comment -

It looks like you dont need to pay for a VPN, you can just use a proxy for the log in. After you've logged in, you can turn the proxy offComment -

#53The Proxy is from this website.http://www.proxynova.com/proxy-server-list/country-ar/
It looks like you dont need to pay for a VPN, you can just use a proxy for the log in. After you've logged in, you can turn the proxy off
Firefox
Tools > Options > Advanced Tab > Network Tab > Settings.
Check Use manual proxy configuration and type in the proxy ip and port into the boxes.
Then go to nfl.com, gamepass, login to your account, then after you do that you can go back in your network settings for Firefox and disable the proxy server and you will be fine?
Also, I went to the home page of that site (http://www.proxynova.com/) and they have a free utility that can chance proxy's fast for you but looks like it doesn't work for Firefox from what it said. Are you manually changing the settings in your browser (IE, Firefox, whatever you use) or do you have a program that automatically does it?Last edited by Nittany Lion; 09-30-12, 01:23 AM.Comment -

#54Oh really, nice. Just to make sure I understand. You pick a proxy from Argentina/Netherlands off that website link you posted then if you use Firefox you go to:

#55Once I logged into the NFL gamepass, I disabled my VPN and then tried changing games and it wouldn't let me. Just displayed a completely black screen, and when I clicked on games it failed to load any. I was curious if you're still able to change between NFL games once you disable your proxy?
It seems like you have to leave the proxy/VPN on the entire time after all. Once I started watching a game though and disabled it, the game kept on streaming so that wasn't affected but you can't change games I guess. You notice this as well?Comment -

#67on your pc, (i used firefox), go to options, options, advanced, connection settings in the network tab, and click settings.
PC
select manual proxy config.
Go here http://www.proxynova.com/proxy-server-list/country-ar/ ( you'll want to get a proxy from the top of the list)
Enter proxy ip and port
hit ok to get out of settings.
go to gamepass.nfl.com and you should be able to get free gamepass on your pc. If it asks for a CC, go to NFL.com and sign up for an account, with your country as argentina(or other supporting country) and try again.
When you launch gamepass on the pc, you can go back to settings and disable the proxy address.
Iphone
You should have gamepass 1.2 installed on your iphone.
go to the app store and download Vpn one click. its free.
I selected the 7 day free trial, and it downloaded a cert on my phone.
next, go to vpn in the iphone settings app.
select the vpn netherlands vpn and switch vpn to on.
launch gamepass and sign in using the account you setup on the pc.
it should let you access gamepass, at least it worked for me.
hit the home button once the feed starts, and disable vpn in the settings.
Let me know if it works for you, its working for me right now.
I selected the vpn one click from the app store, one for the trial, two because i didnt have to register, and three because it let me purchase the one month subscription using iapfree.
