In all of my 37+ years of gambling (since I was 15 years old dating all the way back to 1986) I've always bet just to supplement my income, not replace it. I do it more recreationally and just to put some extra spending money in my pocket. I've been told by numerous people including several here on SBR (texhooper, KVB, and Smokenjoke) that I should do this professionally given my track record. but that's exactly the reason why I don't do it. nor do I want to because I fully understand the ramifications of what can happen when things go awry and astray. I understand that I can lose everything real quickly just as fast as I won it. Having this healthy and respectable approach to wagering is another reason why I've been moderately successful at this beloved hobby of ours over the years! (because it's a lot less stressful and more fun and leisurely)..Just my $0.02!...
