I'll contend:
Bulls raised in the wild would have smashed those shelves and the china on them.
Bulls raised in captivity however have long since learned not to collide with obstacles like the steel bars of their cage & so they avoid the shelves.
The myth is still valid if you're using wild bulls that haven't been domesticated for the same reasons you wouldn't expect a house broken dog to pee on your rug.
