krack is dead fcking right with that statement.

my mother was a former druggie who reformed through bible thumping from the time i was 4/5 till 12/13.

the thing that tilted my the most was how she gave the credit for her recovery to god. i would tell her that makes zero sense. you are the one who quit using drugs. you deserve the credit for changing your life. fck god. if god was worth a fck you'd never have been an addict to start.

she could never accept that. i think that was a catalyst in her relapse and death.

i think accepting that you are responsible would have spurred a renewed sense of self confidence. im stronger than i thought and i can get through anything. thats a powerful realization.

the god delusion is just another form of addiction.

although it is kind of the same argument rich people use when their heads explode when hillary says they didn't build their business alone.

you arent responsible for you success, god is.

you arent responsible for your success, gov, educated your employees, consumers purchased your product, gov provided a safe place to conduct business, roads to transport your good and in many cases made the funding available that led to these innovative breakthroughs, the marines protected our sovereignty, etc.

i guess there's just more evidence for the latter being true.
